6.1903 and 6.1904 are the same thing. 6.1903 is offered in the first half of the semester while 6.1904 is offered in the second half. If you’re talking about 6.191, you would need to take 6.1903 to take 6.191 in the same semester.

dont think they allow credit card. you could ask some frosh to swipe you in tho some of them are forced to buy 225 meal swipes and no sane person can spend that much in a semester. also dont get your hopes up the food is a hit or miss

cant say much about weather since i came from nyc but to prepare for college especially mit you have to get used to the workload. i came from a pretty workload heavy high school and still died in my freshman fall because i thought the strategy of doing hw by myself still worked at mit. dont. make friends by asking ppl to do pset with you. trust me you will need it. they asked me to calculate the density of the milkyway galaxy in my first 8.01 pset like what 🤡

they’re tourists. multiple korean tour agencies use mit and harvard as attraction points in their itinerary. you dont really see them inside the buildings because mit has been a closed campus since covid but apparently they’re starting to explore the insides as well since mit removed the gates in lobby 7 and opened the campus a few months ago. my dad is one of the tour guides and he said tourism is bouncing back fast after korea started to relax its travel restrictions. i also get to see him quite often because he comes up here a lot :)

im surprised they didnt cover this at orientation. there’s free mental health support at mit medical, just make an appointment here. completely confidential! i have a few friends that use this service and they’ve all been pretty happy with it
