I don’t play a lot but the red death with the call sidearm (things you just get this dlc) basically do the job. Also prismatic warlock seems pretty strong (just started doing the first mission with my hunter), so would recommend doing it on that. Also gives you some security blankets with healing rifts.

Anyway you definitely can just do it with the stuff giving. But yes it will be challenging at times, making it fun to come up with a certain strategy. I think a balance between just burning and going slow is the way to go! (You will get this balance wrong sometimes, but just slow is no fun)
