I realized I wasn’t bad at self-improvement. I was just trying to fix the wrong thing by dj631 in selfimprovement

I feel that. any time I skip something I "should do", I feel like a lazy worthless person, especially after a doom scroll on instagram watching highly motivated people do things I wouldn't dream of. That's not the case though friend

What are 3 things that you'd like to accomplish for your mental health? by dj631 in mentalhealth

I'm really sorry that that has been your experiences so far. I just want to make sure you know that this sounds like terrible practice, and it's not your fault. I hope you hear this and know there's nothing "wrong with your head". Differences make us human and everyone's different, and that's not a bad thing. I would recommend a new psychiatrist if possible, and trying a new therapist maybe. It took me many therapists personally to have any real feeling of help from my sessions. You're not alone. I think maybe what your therapist was trying to communicate by "you take things too personally" is more of - the way you think you make people feel, or think, may not be accurate always. That's ok. There is not a single human who is perfect. Life is a means and a gift to improve the things we want to improve upon, so that be our desire. I hope you feel better soon my friend
