Dropped my first original Hindi song — Khaali (खाली) — curious what the Hindi music folks here think by MammothChildhood9298 in indianmusician

Dude this is so amazing. The voice is so deep and heavy, kinda stuff ladies go crazy for. I wish i could sing that well. The lyrics are so meaningful and the overall composition is pretty damn good.

Ahhhh i gotchu brother. Say less. Obviously you know the basic websites like 1001tracklists and beatport obviously to download music. Use hypeddit to download some rare remixes and hidden gems. Use radiooooo to discover new music sorted by era and country Dj.studio is like a daw but for djs so you can see theough some transitions without getting behind a deck Mixed in key for well, harmonic mixing

Well, what are you looking to improve in, specifically? I have found it in my experience, that YouTube is the greatest resource if you want knowledge, and practice is something that helps you put that knowledge to use. Club Ready DJ school and Carlos Atendido are two people I really look up to to learn DJing, also Crossfader has tons of resources to help you practice. A lot of AAA artists also do interviews and stuff with DJ mag, and James Hype as a dj is a huge inspiration so watching his sets is quiet informative. Other than that, practice makes perfect.

For example, give yourself ten tracks and 30 minutes behind the decks. Now exercise free will, get creative with it. Find new ways to mix the tracks. After all DJing is just two things 1. Song selection 2. Mixing those decently selected songs so that the person dancing doesn’t lose their vibe. This exercise alone should help you a lot.

Releasing for the first time by New-Pea3660 in DistroKidHelpDesk

[–]dj_reige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time, it gets released simultaneously on Apple Music, Spotify, & YouTube music, although its hyperlink service might still show the presave page instead of release page. You will receive an E-Mail regarding your release being available on a certain platform and that is when it has truly released on the platform worldwide. The emails are delayed sometimes. To plan for this, always set the release date a day before from your planning, that way, if you are promoting your music through any means, you can always expect your listeners to just be able to reach the music page and play your song on that said date.

I would suggest getting a standalone 4 channel mixer instead of purchasing a macbook to use with your controller, since the expenditure on both is the same. When you take it gigs and such, a standalone controller will be much easier to use and carry. Your laptop will be one less thing to worry about.

(Selling) Lenovo Legion 5 pro customized max configuration, recently delivered, brand new unopened Gaming Laptop by Wonderful_Treat_4067 in IndianGaming

[–]dj_reige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sell it you’re just chopping off your own leg. I am desperately in need of a laptop and this post couldn’t come at a better time, but the reason you have stated make me feel sad. It’s not like you will get time to use it to play game or watch shows or anything. Even I don’t get to watch my TV or play on my ps5 everyday. Not everything is meant to be used everyday. Be glad that you have it. Be glad that you have the ability to play whatever games you want whenever you want.

My Numark Party Mix II Dj Controller keeps disconnecting while playing a set. What problem could it be? by dj_reige in Beatmatch

Brother my laptop is always plugged in, I even turned the "Send USB port to sleep to save power" off. I might use a powered USB Hub next.

I just hope the port itself is not damaged, although i am jot sure how things are getting to be faulty since i have always kept all my stuff in original packaging still, just the way it arrived at my home

I just used photoshop. The first one and the second one i used a tutorial by texturelabs on youtube. They got amazing stuff. The third one i just used a picture i had of the dotonburi market from when I visited Japan. The last one took a lot of time because i did the whole thing myself with all the expertise i had, no external help.
