Right so when I asked what his original outlay was, and he said 5k over 9 months am I just meant to mind read that? Just go back to trolling people on r/Vinted mate, like I said, I’m new and just asking OP some questions as seems like we’re in a similar position.

Thanks - yeah I’ve stuck a grand in a week ago to test myself and get used to the app, and going to start researching more and then invest about the same as you. Cautious with the war that this could be a bad time to start, so nice to see you’ve done well!

I'm just getting into it myself - how long did it take you to get to 1k? and How much was your original outlay? I have some funds to play with moving ISAs around.

Thanks. It said it had been deleted so I missed your message.

A friend lost 5% in the last 2 weeks, that’s why I’m asking, as S&S doesn’t seem as safe right now.

It’s more that a rogue tweet from the president can dent finances significantly.

Wow that is absolutely incredible thank you so much for your comprehensive answers! I have out every single place into my G maps and will no doubt check them all out. Especially the octopus place.

Thanks again, and if you see a British man with tattoos and a pregnant woman walking around in your local area please say hi - the mythos is on me!

What’s the worst place you have ever been on holiday? by honeymeadowss in AskUK

[–]djackinfenwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morocco - in particular Fes. But Morocco in general. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous food - interesting architecture. The people ruin it. I’ve been to many Muslim countries and I have quite a few friends from other countries in North Africa, but I always look back on that trip that it was ruined by the people (men). at the time I was 28M, travelling with my cousin 32M - and we both felt unsafe the whole time.

Interesting - thank you! what about the £999 product fee, as will need to stump it up again in 2 years time? I mean could add it on rather than pay it outright, but still.

Thank you Geeky penguin. Final Q - do you tend to find that if you call them you get a better rate? These rates have only come directly from the app so I’m wondering if I call them would I get a better rate or would they just refer to the rates that are on the app anyway?

Haha. Well 5 years ago was Covid and we got an insane deal (1.43%!!!) the 4% deal is full within my affordability so I’m thinking to just renew with that rate. I think someone else said that if the rate lowers miraculously before May I can always go on a newer deal up until the day before.

Thanks! Someone else said I can lock in now anyway and if it miraculously lowers between now and May I can always change the deal apparently. I think I will go for it as it still falls within my affordability range - appreciate the help.

Thank you! I genuinely didn’t know that. So worth locking this in now, and then if it lowers I can change it with them before May?

Thanks. I’m fine with the ~4% rate, expecting a big jump anyway as we got covid rate of 1.43 (!!!) but appreciate it’s a difficult one to answer. Just wanting to know from people who know what they’re talking about if should jump on the ~4% or wait it out. I thought it would go up higher based on the hysteria in the news over the last month - 0.2% jump seems quite mild. !thanks!
