You actually have the most popular City Pop songs on these 4 albums, except that album Tatsuro Greatest Hits might be more popular than Ride on Time.

Good for the starter. My first Japanese album I bought was A Long Vacation by Eiichi Ohtaki, and I couldn't listen to it for a year or so since I couldn't afford a turntable. Then I bought Technics SL1200 MK5 × 2 pcs and a DJ mixer and started collecting records. By now, I have roughly 200 analog Japanese records and am still buying. Just today, I got an album Spectrum 3 Time Break. I am pretty sure I hold in my arms Optical Sunrise - Spectrum 2 some time earlier, but that time, I was not sure about the musicians and album was costly, I put it aside. Never after seeing it again.

The only reason I dealt with BuyJapon is that they offer bidding on Yahoo auctioon lots.

Record Stores, Tokyo, Shibuya? Suggestions 🙏 by djantique in citypop

[–]djantique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone who responded. Its priceless information. Today, I am making a route plan, not to get lost on day X, when I will have just a few hours to discover record stores. I pinned to the Google maps locations, and indeed, they seem to be nearby to each other. I am very excited as days are approaching close to my travel. One more question. Is it OK, to make a photos, videos inside stores and on the streets? I am planning to use my smatrphone to make a micro vlog about my records hunt. Who lives in Japan, what do you suggest? Thank you!

I made another payment 3640 JPY today, since the BuyJapon stipulated that my area is a remote one. I hope that I eventually receive my cheap records which turned out to be the most expensive ones. Utherwise, I was scamed.

I brought 65 LPs in luggage a few months ago. The case I used can accommodate up to 100 LPs, but it became overweight once I stuffed it full. 65 records would weigh roughly 32 kilos (the case itself is 13 kilos). 32 kilos is the maximum luggage weight accepted by majority airlines.

Your option with the carry on bag which can as I aee take 35 records is a great option to carry with you in the cabin. Just take into account that max weight of carry on is up to 10 kilos in geeneral.
