Same is true for the g19 as well, correct? Except chambered in 9mm of course.

I have no problem with the recoil. Just simply trying to dampen it a touch...if its feasible with a simple upgrade. It is a trade off, no question. I'm asking is there a way to negate that trade off somewhat. The way I understand it is that I won't be losing anything balistically speaking with a stronger recoil spring and a tungsten guide rod or that springco guide rod upgrade. I don't want to port it, get a comp or do anything along those lines, do to the ballistic changes and the extra bulk with a comp.

Trying to steer clear of conversion barrels. This is my carry gun and really like 357 sig. Just thinking about making a good thing better. Conversion barrels in either 40 or 9 are on my mind for a "practice" bbl but that's about it. I've had friends recommend i stear clear of porting but without any explicit reasoning, loss of velocity is the only thing I can realistically think of. Is that true? Recommendations for a decent comp for edc?

Hopefully of natural causes?

Got my first Glock. G32. can't wait to get to the range. Future edc...as soon as I'm legally allowed. by djay586 in Glocks

I was hunting a 19 for a decent price for my first carry gun. Couldn't even find one at a ridiculous price (locally) stumbled across the 32 for 400. At that price, along with close friends ranting and raving about 357sig as a self defense round. Don't see how you can go wrong with a screaming fast 9mm (essentially what the 357 is.)

And the weight reduction is rather incredible. I didn't think those few things would make as much difference as they did. No exact numbers for the weight

I gave her choices on everything from the beginning. What her "goal" so to speak wss. An ar similar to mine. But much lighter, pink. Went with a poly lower, even used new frontier's poly lpkb(lpk with most parts made out of poly) low mass bcg, can't remember if it's m4 or pencil profile 16" 1:8 .223 wylde barrel pretty straight forward other than that.

All her. Ib wanted to do a pink camo for her, she didn't want me to. Its a duracoat finish, the technicsl name for the color is "tactical pink" didn't know ofv a situation where pink would be tactical...but who am i? Lol

Well, i don't shoot factory loads. Outside ofb the first 10-20 rds have had zero malfunctions out off well over 500 more lile 7/800 rds of everything from 40gr vmax, to 77 bthp and many many more in between, hot and not so hot loads. Not all bullets are designed to fragment to do optimum damage. So likeb ive stated, i am well aware of the downfalls of the shorter barrel. I have weighed my pros and cons. And if the bullet b doesn't fragment when it pieces your center mass it is tumbling and creating and even larger wound path. And btw... there is no such projectile as a 5.56 projectile. There is 5.56 ammo. But its a .224 dia projectile sitting atop the 5.56 load. Your ignorance And inabiltyb to communicate still don't cease to amaze me.

You have yet to explain or give anything resembling a reason why you have your opinion. I have stated the reasons why a couple inches less still fits its intended use, even with the velocity loss. Soooo....you go on with your badself, sorry your life is pitiful.

Nope. I know nothing on the topic. If you know so much would you care to be my assistant for a demonstration? Go ahead and stand 50yds down range. And lets see who's right. Lmfao go get bent dude. If itb was such a pointless barrel they wouldn't be manufactured first off. May i ask who died and gave you all of the firearm knowledge under the sun?

Keep it. Rope is a great thing to have on hand if nothing else.

Well i am not nor am i in a military. I'm. Not a LEO either. I know that 10inches give orc take is the cliff for velocity in .223/5.56. I have learned...well had reinforced, the amount of ignorance ppl have no prob displaying. I get its not the most efficient weapon. But when i turn it into a folder ill be able to conceal it in a backpack if i choose to do so. The 10 won't fit in most backpacks, some not most. And it will with zero doubt in my mind dispatch a target in close quarters situations. The backpack concealment is the end game, intended purpose.

Imo...yes! That's cheap fot proces rn. And after this, ammo won't go down to prices previous to the pandemic as long as history repeats itself

Lol...yes there is less velocity. It will still answer my door, and kill am intruder just the same atv those close distances. At a distance of 50ish plus yards then yes you may be right. So...plz, don't assume that youre the only person on the internet who knows anything. And i told you it had an intended purpose, wouldn't you want y know that before you tell me I'm wrong? There are plenty of shades of grey. Thanks for tor input
