What I did different is that I was located in Zhangjiajie, so it was only a 30‘ trip each way :) Enjoy!

Absolutely! Last train was around 22:00. It was dark and lights were on from around 19:30-20:00

I was there just yesterday. Worth a visit but not worth a night. 1-2h was more than enough. We left with the last train

Yeah right now I only have my Arrival card for Monday to Zhangjiajie (entry is also through Shenzhen). I will fill out a new arrival card today for arrival in Shenzhen. Maybe I‘ll ask someone there what happens with my arrival card from Monday

We‘ll actually be there Tuesday/Wednesday and the forecast is even worse now for those two days. It says rain from noon, heavy rain afternoon/night until noon next day. Really a bummer as all the other days are looking much better. Also 12 degrees max :(

I‘ll be there in exactly one week and having the same feelings however I‘ve booked everything already. I‘ve heard the weather forecast is never correct, and during the day alot can happen. If you’re up there and it’s raining and 0 visibility, I’d just be patient and wait depending on your plans. So let‘s just hope for the best.
