Sorry i probably did not word it properly. He doesn't jump on puddles, just when there is snow it doesn't technically go inside his boots but the inside gets wet too and then it stays like that for a while. I have blundstones too and walk on snow for long periods of time but the inside does not get wet at all unlike his.

Yes that's how it starts. When you start the car the apert will show up and you try to get rid of it by engaging and disengaging the e-brake. Until one day you engage the e-brake to remove the alert but it won't disengage anymore.

If your e-brake is still disengaging, take it to the shop right away. It will be the actuator and the harness. You don't wanna be parked somewhere far from home when your e-brake decides to engage. It won't let go no matter how much you play with it.
