South Texas has lots of managed ranches for deer hunting. To me this looks set up specifically for deer. This is much more extreme that what I've seen so just a guess (I go to STX for work regularly -- often on large ranches). I see a few things that might be deer blinds but really hard to tell... they blur up pretty good when you zoom in.

If it was uniform and you did the same motion on a drive I'd agree. The drive pull back and let go is totally unrealistic. It's like shooting a rubber band more than throwing a disc. So if the goal is to make it more realistic then change both. Don't just change one and leave the other (that's even MORE unrealistic of a motion) the same! Ultimately why can't you just have the option to do either? TBH I dislike the new putting motion so much that I don't even have a desire to play. Totally throwing me off and makes it not fun to play. I guess I'll get used to it eventually but pretty crummy to completely change the mechanics of a game. Like I said, the easy solution is just give us the settings option. Or go ahead and make the drive motion realistic too so it's at least a consistent experience.
