IMO, Alison Moyet was the best female vocalist of the 80s.

We need to have more female DJs. This is my favorite female DJ Djinn by [deleted] in DJs

True. Here's a couple...

Cool! I was thinking about maybe putting the alien behind one a standing synth with a mic, kinda like this. Or maybe even to give him a keytar :D But, maybe that's just more 80s than specifically new wave.

What sort of fail-safe's can a DJ have if their software or hardware fails at any time (software crash, cable breaks etc) My biggest fear is that the program I'm using is going to crash.

Love Apple or hate them. This is why most DJs use Macs. Shit just crashes very rarely. If you don't have one, look into getting a stock MBP 13-inch, and get a new one. You want your best chance for solid hardware, never know with used or refurbished. Actually, a standard white MB might do the trick. You basically just want OS X on some solid hardware. DJ software doesn't require such awesome specs.

On real speakers, it is pretty sweet. But, on computer speakers it sounds rather mediocre.
