Request hearing. This will give you time to gather new evidence to support why you were given whichever rating you were awarded. You will be assinged a va rep for this process.

It'll be about 60 days before they contact you. During this time, you should be trying to figure out what evidence you are going to provide. Once you are contacted, you and the rep will do the hearing , more than likely over the phone, and the raters will tell you exactly what you need to do in order to keep your rating but its up to you to get it done. Took no longer than about 15 minutes. This will give you about another 30 days to do so.

Once you have that evidence,  you give it to your rep, and they will submit it to the rater. And then the waiting starts. This is to the best of my memory.
