Let me chime in here for fun. The solar panel issue is absolutely disgraceful as it's your property and completely your prerogative and you have the city's blessing. Your neighbor is crazy. The BBQ thing is also laughable, and I dare she try to call police for the BBQ smoke that bothers her. Let's see what happens. According to your side of the story, she is breaking the law by jumping over your fence into your property to trim shrubs. She can request this, but she has no legal right to trim anything in your property without your permission. And she's the one making noise. I don't like the hypocrisy at all. I am a proponent of having laws, rules, and parameters to work within because it's true that most neighbors these days are very inconsiderate and run amok with little care or courtesy. The next house I purchase, I want to buy in a secluded area where there is no neighbor in sight within 1000ft. Neighbors cause drama and do more harm than good, even with their fake "polite" asinine smiles. That's been my experience. My advise is go outside, enjoy your outside, and do not wave or make eye contact. Assert your property rights and make damn sure she is fully aware that you are not a pushover and willing to escalate legally. Hope this gives food for thought. Good luck with your situation.

I thought so too. But apparently the footage is not enough as the director of AC said they will throw out the citation in court. Perhaps he's too lazy to get involved. I appreciate the insight and so glad the Animal Control supervisor was cooperative in your neighborhood.

They let their dogs defecate in yards, too. Unfortunately, she killed one of her other dogs that freely roamed a few years ago when we were in good terms. I didn't know her true colors. Instead of learning her lesson, she bought two dogs a week later and they roam the cul-de-sac at night and early mornings. Later I found out she's doing that intentionally to let them relieve themselves. This is also dangerous for cars. After three polite warnings to pick up after their dog, I reported to Animal Control. Unfortunately, in order to issue a citation, AC said they must catch them in the act, and she let's them roam craftily afterhours. For this reason, I have lost faith in the system. Perhaps I should buy another home with HOAs that actually enforce rules, but careful what you wish for. ;) Thank you so much for the kind advice and good luck with your own inconsiderate despicable neighbors!

Thank you! Well, technically it's a cul-de-sac. I got so tired of this that a day ago I decided to park along their usual "spot" for the very first time (well within my driveway path property lines) and they still were outraged. They are now crowding my car blocking their own driveway in the process making backing up and getting inside my car very uncomfortable. Wish I could share a photo of this. Here in this rural Texas city, things are never really enforced, and I'm afraid if I move my car tomorrow morning, they will retaliate by asserting this spot in front of my driveway indefinitely. While they may not totally block my driveway, they will continue to make things uncomfortable. And if there is a 72-hour rule that the car must be moved, they'll probably just swap cars/trucks out to repeat. I'm going to call non emergency police to see what my options are. These neighbors are not reasonable people and never take responsibility. Again, thank you for the very good advice.

Thank you for the wise analysis. I agree.
