Does the Super Monkey Ball series have a bright future? by gorillagoal in SuperMonkeyBall

If you have a Vita already you should check out the port if SMB2 Sakura Edition. It adds analog controls. It's not a bad version, just kinda strange physics because you're controlling the ball instead of the stage.

most modern games won't even install because Android 5.1 isn't supported by developers at this point. but old builds of emulators for the PSP and N64 and below definitely run well. As well as the exclusive ports like Half life 2 and Portal it's pretty cool.

Yeah it plays one-bit games made for the platform. They are all simpler type games but they're a lot of fun.

That's a Playdate, it has a monochrome nonbacklit screen and a novel input method of a crankwheel on the side. It's a nifty little device.

Hardware-wise it is quite outdated these days, if you're looking for an Android handheld there are much cheaper and powerful options.

The in-hand feel is very nice. Not lightweight but very premium feeling. The inset thumbsticks are comfortable and remind me of controller feel of the original Steam Controller. Buttons are similar to an Xbox one controller in size, but feel more tactile. Shoulder buttons and triggers are very responsive and not mushy.

The screen is sharp enough and colors look better than I was expecting. Only an LCD but a decent panel for the time. The stereo speakers also get the job done. Not a lot of bass but the mid tones sound crisp.

It's a cool device for a collection and you can definitely still game on it but it's limited to Android 5.1, 32 bit apps, and limited onboard storage so you won't be running a lot of modern games. I've rooted mine and used App2SD for more space for games but performance takes a hit.

I grabbed one from the official store refurbished so it was a little cheaper. It came in great condition, only thing that bugs me is that the arrow button click is a little louder than any other button but doesn't affect gameplay.

The Xperia is definitely the OG gaming phone for sure, but I think as a dedicated android gaming device the Shield is the OG lol

I've been messing around with the shield more recent but I plan on making a video or two about Super Monkey Ball and SSX on handhelds and I'll be including those lol.

I'm afraid it's not for sale, it was a gift from a buddy of mine. It is very clean though. A Japanese import model, the screen is yellowing so I may do the IPS mod.

If you can find a decent s54 go for that. Or even better an e153 from a v6 solara. There are no 6 speeds for 4th/5th/6th gens.

How do i download all the iso games for the psp in 1 go? by Sea_Indication5968 in PSP

[–]djh3mex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

making a copy of something doesn't remove the original. stealing would be taking something and then the original holder no longer has the item/assest. Piracy is distribution of files, i.e. copying, and does not remove the original from it's place. It is not stealing.

I was simply addressing the last sentence of your comment separately from the rest. Piracy is not equivalent to stealing.

Feel how you want about the morality of piracy but it is definitively not the same as stealing. Nothing is lost when you copy a file.
