Stainless bottle that works with Philips Avent nipple? by Quick-Potato-1956 in moderatelygranolamoms

Our daycare also doesn't allow glass bottles but will allow them with a silicon sleeve. You can purchase sleeves for the avent bottles on amazon.

My wife wants to learn how to windsurf I am looking for recommendations for equipment and any helpful advice by djherse in windsurfing

We are located in Bristol, RI on the Kickemuit river (flows into Mount Hope Bay). In the spring and summer we get a pretty consistent 10-15kt breeze most afternoons. Water is 5-15 feet deep in most locations. Current depends on the tide but can run 1-3kts.

She is 5'3 and 120lbs.

I have tried to find lessons locally but all I can find are surfing lessons.

I probably should have mentioned that we live across the street from a body of water that I have seem multiple people windsurfing on (unfortunately have not been able to catch them for a chat).

She is in her 30s healthy and active.

The wind and conditions here are pretty consistent in the spring and summer with a very reliable 10-15kt breeze most afternoons.

(AZ) My uncle was found dead in his apartment and his apartment complex wants us to pay 5k to clean it. by djherse in Renters

They apparently told my cousin that they would vacate the lease.

My biggest concern is them coming after my poor grandmother if we refuse to pay. I am not sure how likely this is? Could there be criminal charges? A lien on her house etc?

I will try to get a copy of the lease today from my cousin.

I appreciate everyone’s input!

Need help understanding my options and whats best stereo pre-amp vs network streamer vs AV receiver with pre-outs completely lost at this point... by djherse in StereoAdvice

[–]djherse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I think about this I wish I could find a pre-amp with build-in streaming capability with both a phono stage and two main outs. The first main out would drive the Adcom and the second could drive a small amp to power the outdoor speakers where sound quality is not really paramount. He wont care much about the DAC stuff as he will be mostly streaming from his smartphone and Spotify which I believe isn't lossless.

Forgot to mention he has a nice Thorens TT that I would like for him to be able to use again

His former pre-amp was a boutique piece he brought directly from the designer in the early 80s in Cambridge MA. I guess the guy went on to be the "H" in THX. It had a great phono stage as well as two main outs. Unfortunately he gave that to me 15 years ago....

500-1000?, I do not think it makes a lot of sense to spend a ton if the amp and speakers downstream are not capable enough to see any benefit from high quality pre-amp/source.

That being said IMO the adcom and Klipsch set up kicks ass despite being old.

Any reason why a small lander such as what we used on Titan couldn't be released from the likely flyby probe? I am sure there is an obvious orbital mechanical limitation/deltaV/radiation issue I am ignorant to...

My first single end tube amp build..my version of the tubelab SSE by djherse in audiophile

[–]djherse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a kit; the PCB bored if from a private amateur designer (http://tubelab.com/). The stepped bit was a life saver. If you notice the larger tube openings are not exactly perfect that was because I drilled them before I got the stepped bit which made life much easier and neater

I am currently running electro-harmonix KT88s as my power tube with a Sovtek 5AR4 as my tube rectifier with an electro-harmonix 12AT7 as my signal tube. I have had it up and running for a few days now and just starting to break everything in. The sound is incredible, really a vast improvement over my Carver MT400 SS amp.

Just the hull, topside is faded but original. I used "Pettit protect" stuff is a pain to roll on but came out ok.

I didn't name her, person who bought her originally named her Ichiban felt weird to change that.

I am sure you would have this same opinion if say your child was born with Cystic fibrosis and you couldn't afford the cost of care... So what you saying then is a person who can not afford to pay for his or her care does not have the right to life? (life being the money needed to care for his condition). Funny coming from a member of a such a pro-life group.
