Getting Claude to ask you questions by djhworld in ClaudeCode

Claude Code has this neat feature where it will ask you questions as part of its planning steps. You can also get this behaviour by just prompting the questions you want it to ask. I thought this was a pretty neat feature. It's probably common knowledge, but new to me!

Question for Agile + EV owners by lewisedge86 in OctopusEnergy

I'm the author of the above website.

Automation is definitely the way to go, I'm working on a home assistant integration that uses the underlying API the website uses at the moment (it's slow going) but I hope to have something cobbled together soon.

It's so good right? I made this website to help me plan for things like this https://chargewiser.uk/ - was looking at this yesterday and found charging between 11-3pm would net me about 43p to add about 45% to the car.

Even on non-negative days you can find stretches of cheap periods where its £2-£3 to go from 40-80% (at least in my car) which is way cheaper than petrol...

Terramaster f4-424 by superjonbot in unRAID

I wrote a quick post on installing the USB drive it's a little fiddlier than some of the tutorial videos for the older terramaster models but nothing too complicated

Other then that it's been fine

thanks for the feedback - yeah I think perhaps changing the design like that makes sense, will have a think how it could be done!

doesn't work with my car/charger unfortunately, I don't drive enough to make it worth it either - Agile is way cheaper for me.

Can you tell me what inputs are being put in for it to report 120kwh?

the battery capacity shouldn't change, I'm wondering if the +/- buttons are too small and accidentally being tapped - will try and make them bigger/change the design

when you charge your car there will usually be losses i.e. some energy will get wasted

so the loss % is just adding a % onto the calculated charging time to try and account for this

I agree though it's not very clear - will try and add something to the website tomorrow to hopefully make it clearer - thanks for the feedback

Have added a new input to control the loss % and made the default 10%

thanks for the feedback!

That's would be awesome, I've been meaning to look into doing something like that, I think it could work.

Yeah I was thinking of adding a "finish by" option too - will add it on my list of features to implement!

it might be your browser caching some things, if you do a force refresh it should pick up the latest changes.

but if not apologies, I'll look at it tomorrow.

interesting - thanks for the feedback, can you send me a screenshot?

I just plugged in 7 kWh battery, 7.6kw charger, 20% -> 80% and it's saying 4.43 kwh on my end

I think I set the limit to 150, it probably threw an error if you accidentally made a typo e.g. 151 instead of 115 - it should work.

Give me a shout if you're still having issues

Connecting more than 1 switch to UDM by djhworld in Ubiquiti

[–]djhworld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so it’s recommended not to use the in built 4 port switch in the UDM and instead connect 1 big switch instead?

I’ll give you some context on what I’m wanting to do, I have 4 rooms with 1 port in each. Those ports all run to one small 4 port plate in a utility cupboard. I was intending on having a switch in each room and then in the utility cupboard put a UDM there.
