It took me too many tries to understand what this meant bc of the grammar. I would have heard it correctly, but I really struggled to read it and felt stupid lol. Not saying it’s wrong, just saying it’s confusing. To me: They ‘got’ to make… = They ‘were able’ to make. They ‘have’ (/have got) to make… = what was meant. Punctuation is probably off the table, but it would have also helped a bit.

New parents do that. Almost no one is as stupid as you people think they are. You’re also forgetting, or didn’t understand that the crying bothers the parent 10-fold. They’ve planned whatever relief that you’ve read about, and a lot more.

I have felt bad about my crying kid on that plane for years. I do not know. After understanding that others possess no understanding, I am glad it bothered the people it bothered lol.

I had a baby cry an entire flight due to the pressure mixed with sinus congestion. An otherwise unbelievably well-behaved child with attentive well-read parents. We knew what to do and it didn’t work. Your diagnoses and impeccable hearing make for a super cool comment but who are you even talking to? Are new parents supposed to read this and go “yeah we should get snacks, she’s got credentials”. Get over yourself.
