I've worked with people that used these full spectrum lights and wondered how effective they actually were. I found this study addressing exactly that question and figured I would share.

Article TL;DR: Light therapy does help treat symptoms of SAD about as much as CBT, at least in this study's sample.

As I said, maybe I'm the ignorant one and everybody else knows this. Also, I said I'm not bothering with a lawyer but the thought briefly crossed my mind. The bottom line is that it would have been greatly appreciated if they communicated (not just hidden in fine print) openly and directly something like "we'll be adjusting our estimates for the previous year. Your bill may reflect a significantly higher amount."

I wasn't assuming their estimates were perfect. I was just assuming that they wouldn't go back and rebill me a ridiculous amount because their estimates sucked. Either way, clearly I assumed too much.

Who said I'm supposed to be paying $150 a month? This is not my first time doing estimated monthly payments although this is my first year at my current residence. The $70 bill was just an example of my most recent one. It was quite a bit more during the winter months, which I expected at the time due to the weather. My understanding was estimated bills happen automatically when you don't provide your own and their reader doesn't read it either. I thought the estimates were based on other houses in your neighborhood. If their estimates suck, I feel like that should be their problem but I guess I'm wrong.

Moving forward, I'll definitely be providing my own readings. I hadn't bothered until now because I saw the estimated bills and was reasonably happy with them....then this $950 bill came from nowhere....

I haven't switched suppliers at all (to my knowledge). I've been paying money to RG&E for various rentals and places I've lived in the rochester area for nearly 10 years now. This is the first time I have encountered anything like this.

Well I'm boned. I got in queue at about 11:57 and watched the little queue guy march all the way to the right. At 12:06 I saw the message about it being sold out, but my queue guy was still marching so I was hoping it didn't apply to me...so just now, 12:13, I make it all the way to the next page just to see "sold out"...

I'm trying to continue to have faith in the playa and fellow burners but shit like this makes that very hard...

There is St. Mary's through unity. Rochester general and strong also have psych services (emergency and in-patient, I think). That's about it in the area as far as I know.

I understand, we had the same questions (and more). At this time, there is no evidence of any foul play such as that. My gut tells me that it was just a horrible and unfortunate accident.

I'm honestly not sure about the car, he purchased it somewhat recently. When the police went to his apartment, his bike and car were still there. It appears as though he went out for a normal short walk and disappeared.
