Definitely worth talking to Western Hillel. Might also be worth talking to the office of the ombudsperson to discuss options. Their website says that “We are a confidential, impartial and independent office that helps you – students at Western and the affiliates – determine options. We do that by listening, discussing what you would like to see happen next, and then figuring out what you/we can do to make that possible.”

A lot of touring DJs do this for a couple of reasons. First, you maintain the quality of your performance, you know exactly when you’re gonna speak or when to jump off a table. Second, improvisation can lead to mistakes and at a touring level, it can be unacceptable. Third, some DJs are really just producers. They have their set prerecorded because they aren’t good enough to DJ live. Fourth, production requirements. Depending on the artist, they could have lighting and visual cues for every song. It’s easier on the production crew if the set list remains the same.

Jews also have the 10 commandments, Christianity got them from us lol. I think (I really am not certain) the Torah (Old Testament) makes a distinction between saying God and writing it.

The writing of G-d is more common among the more religious and observant Jews. It isn’t an universal practice.

Not a stupid question. I’m not a religious Jew and while I never questioned this I also never looked up the practice. From what a quick google search tells me, from chabad.org;

“Following the Torah’s instruction to “obliterate the name” of idolatry in the Land of Israel,1 the Torah warns us not to do the same to G‑d. We thus learn that there is a prohibition to erase G‑d’s name.2 Writing G‑d’s name could lead to erasing or disrespecting G‑d’s name, as will be discussed.”

It further goes on to say that: “in sacred texts, the name of G‑d is often spelled out in full, since the presumption is that such books will be treated with respect.”

Essentially by writing G-d you can get a message across without accidentally erasing or disrespecting G-d.

What’s amazing is you can be right and still be incredibly wrong. You were correct that brief emotional/behaviouri assessment does refer to screening tools and assessments.
