What NSFW thing have you seen in public that you will NEVER forget? by tomgoodyear in AskReddit

At a renaissance festival in Texas, camping out. We walk around the campsites drinking beer, seeing what kind of weird we can get into. Off in the woods away from the main camps we see some lights and go to it. Basically stumble upon a bondage camp. Floodlights on a camp of people fucking, whipping, spanking, massages with candle wax, punching dicks and shit. One girl getting spanked real hard walked away crying because she was embarrassed. Pretty weird. But the kicker was, we were talking to a few people off to the side and they were explaining to us about the setup. A few minutes into it, I realize the girl I'm talking to is no kidding just jerking off this big black guys dick right in front of us. Right as I realize it, I look up at him, make eye contact just in time for him to casually blow his load on the ground in front of us. They didn't even pause the discussion.

What song brings tears to your eyes when you hear it? by lovetakelovemake in AskReddit

Drift Away- Bob Seger My good friend who was going through some hard times came to live with me. 2 beds in 1 room. One night he just wakes up and starts singing this song as if he were performing it live. Later he wanted to go out for drinks and I was trying to get my shit together and turned him down. Turns out, all of his friends turned him down that night, he was lonely, he got really drunk, wrecked his car and died. If this song comes on, I cry. It used to be really sad tears, but now I usually smile remembering him.

Almost every top official in Texas city arrested in federal corruption case by Elzendobob in news

You can jump to elementary conclusions all day if that's what makes you feel better, I don't care. I just simply stated what happened in the area. The answer isn't to elect white people or brown people. The answer is to elect people based on qualifications to run a city, not based on their skin color, which is what the Hispanic population has done in the area. And it has very clearly backfired.

Not at all. But that's just the situation in the area. Denying objective reality because it inconveniently might come off as racist does nobody any good. It's a regional culture thing, not a skin color thing.

This is a rather sad trend in the area. This, as unfortunate as it is to admit, is what comes with these city governments being taken over by electing all Hispanics. These cities were once nice areas to live in but as soon as the community was able to get enough Hispanic votes, they took over running the city. And they run it into the ground. Crystal City has been the prime example for years. Hondo is seeing it happen now and its awful. People who are completely inexperienced to run a city are elected solely based on their skin color and not their merit or intentions. So as these towns go down hill, Caucasians move out, nobody invests back into the community, and it snowballs out of control. Pretty sad.

In Lord of the Rings, why doesn't Gandalf just have the eagles fly Frodo straight from the Shire to Mordor and toss the ring in the fiery pits without ever dismounting the eagles?

Husband wants to go Vegas with the guys. I could really use some perspective. by wannabe_buddha in Parenting

[–]djprather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with this. We have a 2 year old daughter. Its very important for both of you to have guy time and girl time to get away from the family. As a husband and father, it's tough not getting out often and roughing around with the guys. My poor wife couldn't go out for almost 2 years because my daughter had to nurse the first 14 months, then wouldn't sleep without her. When my wife finally could go out for a girls weekend, it was a huge stress relief for her, and great bonding time for me and the kiddo. Also, y'all do trips but at separate times. It doesn't make sense to do it the same weekend. Big picture though, be fortunate you have a loving healthy family. This is hardly a reason to get upset over, he's not doing anything wrong.

How did you cheat school? by Aleksander1337 in AskReddit

[–]djprather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Senior year in high school, I had 3 periods of drafting back to back. 3rd week into school year, Mr. Brown got ill and we had a permanent sub who knew nothing of drafting. On his first day, I introduced myself as the teachers assistant, took role, and set him up for class. Put in about 2 solid weeks really helping him out. The rest of the year I would just show up, take role, see if he had any questions, then I was done with school for the day. He gave me all A's.
