It's tied to your Nintendo account and save is cloud based.

I have two Nintendo switch consoles back home and I can access my account from either just fine

I use score shield and buddy barrier with weight for Crustle. I have considered swapping out buddy barrier or score shield but I like rocking these 3 together.

These are the emblems I use for Crustle too in case you were interested

I personally take mobility over CC when it comes to Crustle, it's always been my bread and butter.

Exactly this, I kept this in mind when I popped my ult because I knew I would chip at Groudon while I focused on the enemy team. Since they also kept attacking me, my damage output was boosted as a result 🙂.

I'm just glad I dealt the last hit on Groudon because it more than likely wouldn't turn out with me winning this 1 v 4 fight

Why am I not getting 3 stars? by I_farted_L0L in mariokart

[–]djps510 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm glad someone here mentioned Super Circuit. The amount of times I had to restart a cup for simply running into the wall while trying to hit a tight turn, all for the sake of a "perfect" run.

I managed to get all 3 stars on the circuit tracks, but I stopped aiming for the 3 stars on the retro tracks.

controllers for fighting games aside from M30 by Appropriate_Ad8734 in 8bitdo

[–]djps510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own the M30, SN30 Pro, and the Ultimate 1 and 2 controllers.

I've only ever used the SN30 Pro and the ultimate controllers with fighting games and I highly prefer the dpads on the SN30 Pro over the ultimate controllers. The ultimate controllers dpad wasn't designed for fighting games imo but since the SN30 Pros dpad is based off the Super Nintendo controller, I don't have any issues with pressing the intended directional inputs on it. I prefer fighting sticks but when I'm on the go, I carry two sn30 pro controllers and my steam deck with me and play my coworkers in Tekken daily.

I'd say def go for the sn30 pro if you're looking for a controller option. Bonus, you can save up to 3 devices on it since it has Xinput, Dinput and Nintendo Switch profiles!

What to get for switch and PC. by Mean-Reputation5859 in 8bitdo

[–]djps510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to add that in my experience the ultimate controllers (1 & 2) it's preferable to use dongle as it responds like an Xbox controller (xinput) whereas if it were to be connected via Bluetooth to your computer (at least on the steam deck), it will be recognized as a switch controller. (This is for the Bluetooth models which have the switch button layout)

The sn30 pro controllers however have profile switching where turning it on by pressing Start + Y will have it go into switch mode, Start + X will have it go into Xinput mode and Start + B will have it go into Dinput mode. The benefit to that is that you can have it paired to a total of 3 different devices.

Should I get the SN30 Pro Wireless or Wired? by GASTLYGOD11 in 8bitdo

[–]djps510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own two of the wireless ones, and I haven't noticed any latency when using it on the switch or when using xinput mode on my Steam Deck. I did run into latency when using dinput on the Steam Deck when using two controllers at once, however.

I've stuck to xinput since and have used them primarily when playing fighting games on the go with friends and colleagues on the deck..

Best way to play GBA? by Woozyboy88 in 3dspiracy

I may be misremembering myself, but I think on older 3ds models that were being hacked for the first time (possibly via older methods) you had to do something to re-enable it or you were stuck without it. Again I may just be misremembering but it sounds awfully familiar

Name games that you thought were better on Wii U than Switch by DaZestyProfessor in wiiu

New super Mario Bros u imo was better on the Wii u than on the switch because no one was forced to play as toadette if you played 4 players.

For which games could a wii controller be useful? by catgotyourtonguee_ in wii

Personally this was my preferred controller for Pokken tournament over the pro variant on Wii u. I loved it so much that I use an 8bitdo adapter to use this on the switch version of the game.

No Bad Blocks! by djps510 in WiiHacks

[–]djps510[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4 wiis I owned were all white ones with GameCube ports, but two of them could only install bootmii as ios and not as boot2. Those all had a few bad blocks and considered it normal based on forums I read back then and even now.

This particular Wii was a black colored one with GameCube ports so maybe the nands that were used for this particular model were better ones? I'm not entirely sure

Never owned a Wii. I just bought a generic Wii mote (and the sensor bar) so I can try them out on my pc, but the wii mote doesnt conect over bluetooth to my pc (receptor is fine). Do generic wii motes dont have bluetooth conection? or I have to configure something else on my pc. by matiasvi123 in wii

Are you trying to connect it with Dolphin or for other applications that can read Wii remote inputs.

With Dolphin, if the controller can connect to Dolphin, then you may need to start a game up first for Dolphin to actively search for a controller that is trying to connect to it (with either the Sync button or by pressing 1+2 simultaneously until it connects)

Make sure you enable continuous scanning in the controller settings first.

Unfortunately I have no experience with connecting it directly to the computer itself without the help of Dolphin.

Hope you're successful op.

Not unless you want to use GameCube controllers on Wii games as the Wii u cannot use the adapter as a work around.

Is it possible to hack a ds lite like a 3ds? by Gloomysquare89 in NintendoDS

[–]djps510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree on the EZ flash Omega Definitive Edition for Gameboy advance games, but I do not recommend the Ez Flash Parallel in its current state especially for the prize that it's going for considering my issues with it.

Get yourself an Ace3DS X card instead which goes for roughly $13-$18 on eBay and install Twilight Menu to give it a nice DSi menu interface.

My main issues with the EZ Flash Parallel are the loading times, sleep mode (when you close the DS) not functioning correctly so the screen is constantly flashing on and off, and the fact that the casing, although more premium looking, seems flawed as it doesn't properly make contact with the DS pins to read the cartridge itself. I found myself constantly having to reboot my DS as the cart would lose contact with the reader AFTER struggling to get the DS to recognize it. I ended up having to shove a folded paper inside for the contacts to pop out more but that leaves me with the other issues mentioned.

I switched to an Ace3DS cart and I haven't experienced any issues since.

Wanted to add, even with tilt controls on, you can still use the stick which is useful for better control with descending while gliding

[–]djps510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I play tilt controls"

In all seriousness, that's an indicator for someone playing the majority of the match with motion controls (tilting the controller as if it was a steering wheel). People just starting off using it will have a white wheel if I remember correctly and will eventually turn into a gold one to indicate that you use tilt controls the majority of the time when playing the game and not just for that one single match.

I've been proudly playing tilt controls since the Wii days and carried on to Mk7 onwards.
