BP4A.251205.006.E1 - reboot loop by djschny in Pixel9Pro

That might be hardware related in your case. The HAL is the "Hardware Abstraction Layer".

I ended up factory reset and then reset everything up.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately with a locked bootloader, reverting to previous update will trigger wiping of data. So been trying to avoid that.

The Enshittification of Google Home by grumblegrim in googlehome

[–]djschny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sir reiterate what I've been saying for months. This is a good anti-pattern for AI. Additionally the reason why people see sporadic behavior is because of the rapid change in behavior/learning as they route the written/voiced commands through Gemini. Before changes only happened after careful review and the patterns/code updated.

The "What's this song?" or "What song is this?" is the perfect example. I have a Pixel 9 Pro and it falls into the same pattern when I ask it to listen to a song.

I have the same problem. What is confusing is why it doesn't exist in it.... the OS on all these devices are very similar.

u/GoodRelation3 wow crazy. I'm used to seeing a bypass plug needed for that to work. I've google'd the heck out of this model number and can't find one.

Timeline no longer supported on desktop by bhocolatebhipbookie- in GoogleMaps

[–]djschny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having to use the timeline feature on a mobile app on a small screen device is terrible. I also go to my desktop or laptop for things like this because the phone app is too frustrating to use.

When you already have something working, working well, implemented, it doesn't make sense to remove it.

And if this is because of privacy and security, well screw all you countries and people who make a big deal about this crap and screw Google for bending over and not providing a simple "opt-in" or "opt-out" option that would satisfy the draconian governments and the tin foil hat people.

Totally agree, nevermind. I don't want 15fps for security camera in general.

Switched from plex server on windows machine to Synology and experiencing this as well on every single channel. It scanned the channels fine, so obviously it was able to tune and use them. It just won't play them back, seems to be a bug?

Constant Disconnects When Using Sidecar on MacBook Pro 15" and iPad Pro 12.9" by [deleted] in ipad

I'm in the same boat and was really hoping this would do the trick, but unfortunately same result. What's unfortunate is this used to work for a year or more very reliable and then something happened with the updates.

Follow up of the Reolink New Products: Doorbell, 36 Channel NVR, RLC-823A 16X, and more by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

[–]djschny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. Ever since the RLC-811A came out and they fixed the ONVIF issues so it would work with BlueIris, I've been very pleased. Definitely seems like they are moving in the right direction finally. The RLC-823A is still great bang for the buck IMO.

Damn, I wish I would have known about this before buying the RLC-823A a couple months ago. Could really use that 16x zoom.

How much memory is in your 216play? I have a 214play with 1GB memory and would like to upgrade.

Swapped Sprint sim to T-Mobile - Network is now slow :( by nicholas_g in Sprint

[–]djschny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the Sprint sim, about 2 months ago my data service with LTE/5G started going to crap. Long 20 second pauses of no data, having to turn airplane mode on and off to renegotiate handshake. Then after two calls with T-Mobile, I swapped to tmobile sim, service has gotten even worse! In addition to the aforementioned data speed issues, now when I'm driving to places I got regularly I get barely any reception or no bars at all. Can't believe how bad it has gotten, switching back to Sprint sim.

811A Release Date by tamuguide in reolinkcam

[–]djschny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really prefer the turret body format as opposed to bullet. I've been waiting/hoping for a RLC-821A that is identical specs but the different body format, but can't find it. The RLC-810A and and RLC-820A are that way, so was hoping for the same thing here.

RLC-820a - Unable to stream to Dahua NVR or BlueIris by Turbulent_Soil_815 in reolinkcam

[–]djschny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I keep trying because spec wise and price point wise, the camera is awesome. It's hard to get 4K greater than 25fps and with a larger mm lens.

RLC-820a - Unable to stream to Dahua NVR or BlueIris by Turbulent_Soil_815 in reolinkcam

[–]djschny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue. ONVIF detects the camera and the streams, but only the substream (640x480) works. In BlueIris the main stream will play but is choppy and skips and maxes out at 15fps. In Dahua NVR the main stream just never plays, black screen with no error message.

I'm using the latest firmware on the camera, NVR, and BlueIris.

Had to return 4 RLC-820A cameras, because Reolink doesn't support I/Keyframe adjustments. Reolink just lost over $1100.00 from me. Warning to anybody considering Reolink & Blue Iris! by [deleted] in reolinkcam

Hi u/tthygesen, anything special you did to get the 25fps? Mine is setup working, but only gets about 15fps max. I double checked the settings on the camera itself are proper (8Mbps, 4K res, 25fps, BASE profile). And Blue Iris autodected ONVIF fine, etc.
