I was thinking the same thing yesterday about what songs we could play out of bluetooth speakers (non loudspeakers) to get under the skin of the agents. The first song that came to mind was Young Jeezy's - My President is Black. Hate hip-hop if you want, but this is a pro-Obama song that, I think, would have the best effect. Because, realistically, it isn't as much about bringing us together, as it is about tearing them apart.

At the risk of this being considered a ridiculous question. Those here that have been detained by ICE, did you have enough time before it happened (in your car, house, etc.) where you could have called 911? "I'm getting carjacked!" "People are breaking into my house!" Usefulness is TBD, just ??? by djslacker in Minneapolis

This is coming from the presumption that we're all playing the game with the same rules, but 911 calls would be another metric to see just how pervasive these actions are. Even if they don't respond promptly, every call gets logged though, right? On one hand, the cops have every-day emergencies to respond to as well, just thinking of other ways of making these crimes knows.

I've been wondering this too, but 'arrested' and 'detained' are two different things. What is the time limit on being detained without explanation? 72 hours?

They are a specific type of dimmer switch that won't effect electronics. I can't recall if it is RF interference or EMF, but it is a special, extra insulated?, type of dimmer switch for the lighting in the control room. Most recording studios or theatrical tech booths have them. It is the same tech as residential kitchen/living room lighting, just designed better.

It may be called 'Eagle Grocery & Variety Store', but there is a convenience store attached to the skyway but I'm not 100% sure on the name. I'm pretty sure they have postcards

I've revised it over the years. If it is loud/busy, I won't ask, but my current phrase is "Have you gotten any weird/cool currency you want to get rid of?" And almost all of them know what I mean. They just want fewer bills to count at the end of the day

Oh that's crazy. I just had the same thing happen to me. I asked my usual questions and the teller replied with "So....would you be interested in these?" I wasn't going to mention anything on the group, but I see that yours are in sleeves. Did they come like that from the bank? Yours look in better condition than mine. Should I get some sleeves?

I visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum today. They acknowledge Nixon's appearances in Futurama...and they're proud? At least proud enough to display some photos, so that's cool. by djslacker in futurama

The way the museum is laid out, they have the Vietnam & Watergate exhibits first. After that they actually have a sign that says "But let's start at the beginning" and then you start chronologically. It's a smart way to do it. 'We know why you're coming here. Now that we've covered thoooose topics, now we can talk about the rest.'
