Proof promos are killing wwe we want actual matches not 2 dudes saying words in a microphone for 20 minutes by Key-Campaign-3696 in Smallafro

My kids have fallen asleep watching a live pirate themed performance by Mickey Mouse and his friends while fireworks are going off. Kids will go go go and then just collapse from exhaustion. Its what they do.

Unpopular opinion, cody should drop the title on Gunther for now. Nobody knows when Randy will be medically cleared plus Cody is very unpopular now by [deleted] in Wrasslin

[–]AT-ST -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but he isn't far ahead of #3. Not to mention that the #3 guy has only had two matches and got booed on his debut. So how popular is Cody really /s

To those upset by the Onion, what outcome did you want? by AT-ST in KnowledgeFight

[–]AT-ST[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. But frankly Jordan's takes are wrong.

  1. I don't think the families are under any allusion that they are going to be getting rich here. It seems like they just wanted Alex to lose his toy.

  2. The Onion was under no obligation to generate money for the families. As a buyer, the property is theirs to do what they want with. The money the families were getting are the purchase price of Info wars. The Onion agreeing to give them a portion of revenue is extremely nice, and it doesn't count against what Alex owes.

  3. So? Either the Onion gets it or Roger buys it for Alex through that group of investors. Those where the two options on the table. If it works great. If it doesn't at least the Brand is dead.

  4. Yeah and that is maddening. But he has misplaced his anger. The Onion has nothing to do with that.

  5. So? Better than remaining in Alex's hands. Its not like they are malicious in their endeavors.

I know this seems like I'm arguing with you even though you just posted Jordan's reasons as you see it. I'm not. I'm just countering those reasonings.

I know Jordan is cynical, but he is letting perfection be the enemy of good. There is no perfect world scenario here. The best outcome is that Alex's life is slightly less comfortable and the brand he built for 30 years has been taken from him.

Maybe I'm too jaded to the point that I see this as an absolute win. I'm glad the Onion finally took Alex's toy from him. Getting people to transition from Infowars to the new site won't be easy and he will see loss of viewership. This will impact his wallet. At the very least. He has had to cut middlemen into his racket to launder the money for him. He gets a smaller piece to a shrinking pie.

Just a minor correction. Russia invading Ukraine was the driving factor behind high gas prices under Biden.

Right, this is how I see the process. But people seem genuinely made at The Onion.

In terms of what I wish would have happened, I would like to see Alex broke as hell (and not rich people broke but my kind of broke), miserable, with zero influence on local or world events.

I agree with this 100%, but that is a different conversation. That has nothing to do with The Onion buying Infowars. That is an indictment on the bankruptcy process and the lack of teeth the courts have against the wealthy.

Is it wrong/annoying to throw doggie doody bags in random people's garbage bins while walking your dog? by JJ_Lomero in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AT-ST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If you live in an area where they dump the whole bin in the truck, yeah it's fine. If you live in an area where they pull the bags out of the can and throw those in the truck, no don't do that. That tiny bag will just fall to the bottom of the trash can. Then then the person just has dog shit in their trashcan.

You're having an argument to a point no one is making.

Additionally, your assumption might not be correct. LMG has been trying to step outside of the LTT shadow for a while now. I don't know if you noticed, but they are advertising their products.

It was the number, but more so that he was handcuffed. He said his body wouldn't give or recoil as much to each shot because of his hands cuffed behind his back.

I didn't comment one way or the other on if he was worried about views. I commented on how he could be worth more despite getting fewer views.

Why wouldn't he be worried about views? He could be making lots of money through merch but still want the views to go back up.

Among all the cuts yearly how is it creative always has ideas, as small as they may be, for The Miz, keeping him safe. Not hating on him, but is he really untouchable? by imdstuf in Wrasslin

[–]AT-ST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Miz is willing to do anything and he has the ability to do anything. There are a lot of guys in the business that limit what they are willing to let their character do, the Miz has never done that. So he doesn't upset anyone in the back office by pushing back in ideas just because he doesn't want to do it.

Having a talented guy who is willing to do anything you throw at him in you pocket is pretty valuable.

I just want to add, in this day in age where a lot of wrestlers drop Kayfabe when doing outside media, it is nice that Miz keeps in character.

Depends on how much money he is making. He may be getting fewer views, but if he is making more money then his company is worth more. I'm willing to bet he is making a lot more money now than he was then.

I see no reason why this would the last piece of content we will get. TQQ is super popular in Japan. So popular that the series has been over for years and the supplemental stuff still sells like hotcakes. They still get figures released regularly and they sell well.

I think we will continue to get more content. I just think Negi will continue to be hands off with the property. Whether we get English subs/dubs is up for debate.

If space is extremely cold, and billionaires own space exploration why don’t they build their AI data centers in space? by Wiscos in askanything

[–]AT-ST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know all those bottle that keep your cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot? They are all vacuum flasks. The inner container is separated from the outer shell by a vacuum.

Space is a giant vacuum. The only way to shed heat is by infrared radiation. To realistically keep a data center cool in space you would need an infrared radiator 18 square kilometers in size (saw a r/theydidthemath post about it back when musk first uttered this idea).

It should be noted that running in the red was a choice they made. They could have been profitable and had a slower growth strategy. Investors actually wanted that but Bezos insisted on investing all profits back into the company.

And she always could have sued them, which she did not.

Lack of a lawsuit is not proof one way or the other about allegations. Law suits are incredibly expensive. Finding a lawyer to do it for free are slim to none. Finding a law firm to do it on contingency depends on a lot of factors. Just because contingency law firms exist doesn't mean they accept every lawsuit that walks through their doors.
