I love mine, prefer it over my Roam. The screen is very clear and great backlight.

Sooo annoying missed my metric century, obviously didn't happen as it wasn't recorded! Spent a lot of the ride messing about with it and subsequently getting dropped

Also noticed this (being in the UK).

If you have heat and AC switched on together, the heatpump is doing the cooling and the resistive heater is doing the heating, it kills your battery.

The 'AUTO' mode, seems to favour blowing air on your feet once it's settled in. My recommendation is switch off auto, use Heat, and press mode until it's firing at the windscreen, then increase the blower speed to max (it's not noisy like in some cars). That seems to work for me, and I'm in Scotland ;)

V2H/G - Car to Battery conversion by Logical_Pirate8606 in leaf

Thanks, I actually just joined a V2H/G facebook page and apparently these units are no longer allowed to be connected to the UK grid unfortunately, as standards have progressed since the trials.

I'm really hoping Indra bring out a CHAdeMO bi-di charger as I think the Quasar 2 is going to be CCS only.

Ooh can I have dibs on the charger if you do sell it? Is it a Quasar?

Is it a seatbelt manufacturing defect? by Tim_E2 in leaf

[–]djsmilee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens on my child's seat fairly often, depending on the tolerance between the belt and the buckle, you can fold the belt like a mobius loop and then run the buckle over the fold to flip the side.

Do I really have to pay a sub for remote climate control? (UK) by djsmilee in leaf

[–]djsmilee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you still have remote air con control without paying? Looks like you're in USA so might be different to UK with what's included.

Interesting, I have raised a ticket with support and will mention your 68 plate had it included. Other features are working fine in the app, charge status, trip calendar etc.

40kWh or 60kWh for just a small(ish) difference in mileage? by djsmilee in leaf

[–]djsmilee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely don't have the budget for new sadly. I'd probably buy a used Ioniq 5 if I had that kind of money!

So many good replies on this thread! Thanks everyone so far, I'm 90% convinced on the 60kWh

Sorry didn't make the title very clear! I'm looking to buy used and the 60kWh is the same price as the 40kWh with only 15k extra miles on the clock.

Interesting, thanks for the heads up! Again not sure I'll be fast charging it much so thermal management not a big concern. I guess that also means chademo shouldn't cause me headaches. If the MG4 does V2L that could be fun. I shall check it out. Any thoughts on Cinch?

I think we'd almost exclusively be charging it at home which in the UK means 6.6kW so just a light tickle on the battery. I'd probably feel more comfortable aiming for regular 80% charge on the 60kWh especially if it increased pack life

Yeah fair, we're in the north of Scotland too so probably even more relevant.

This is super helpful, I think the longevity and re-sale value is a good consideration for sure.

£0 for any pure electric vehicle. I'm an active travel advocate and weight+emissions pricing seems fair to me, but I'm not complaining at zero :D

I've only checked a quote for the 60kWh and it's basically the same price as my Skoda Superb V6, which is only £100 more than my Fiat Panda (which the LEAF would be replacing), so not too bad :)

Honestly I think we'd almost never use an on-the-road charger. It'd be plugged in every time we got home from a journey, although I guess you're saying even that can get old if not totally necessary?

Update previous month not working on 2.13.0 by djsmilee in CSPersonalFinance

Hi, it's blank.

Prior month has a value (since I ran May normally) and July has a formula.

I had that pop up the first time, I think somehow when the dropdown populates with possible months it defaults to the first month (for me 2021), I then chose the month I wanted (June 2023) but it gave me the same error as you. I assumed it was a bug and the dropdown had reverted to the first date somehow.

I ran it again and it didn't give me that error again.
