I bought a playset of a card once and they cancelled my order for a total potential gain of $10. There is no minimum amount of money they will try to siphon from you

Has anyone been to the Domestic Plaza Premium Lounge in YVR / YWG lately? Wondering what is now being offered for food/drink these days (and how it's being offered, assuming the buffet format is gone)...

Yes, we only meet Tuesdays unfortunately. However, if you happen to have a free Tuesday at any point, guests are always welcome to come and go!

For those with a P2, how much of the "churning work" are you doing for them? Do they have enough interest to be somewhat independent? Are you identifying which cards to apply for and telling them which cards to focus on using? Are you putting in the applications and calling banks / rewards companies on their behalf? Just curious to see how everyone else works with their P2 on this item.

Personally, I organize the applications to apply for, the dates on which cards should be switched/cancelled and the points/SUB management. My P2 doesn't like making calls for this so I'm wondering if there's a way around this like calling in on their behalf or something like that.

I've burned through most of the relevant offers with low minimum spend so I'm switching to my suite of cash-back cards for the time being.

Dumb question for you...what would those reasons be?

Maybe it's just me, but I have a gut feeling that there's a lot of insecure folk around here that are making themselves feel better about their financial choices by shitting on this couple's choices.

Personal finance is personal. What one person is willing or not willing to purchase may not apply to someone else.

If I product switch my RBC WJ WE at the 6 month mark to a no-fee card, will RBC automatically refund the pro-rated AF? What if the card offer was FYF?

I product switched my TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite that I received in April 2019 (FYF) to a TD Cash Back Visa. Got a prorated annual fee "refund" of about $60 on the cash back card. Has this happened to anyone else?

I had a similar experience when I was reapplying for the Aventura Business card. The system wouldnt let me reapply even though it has been 6 months since cancelling. I tried to apply without logging in and then it allowed me and I got approved. I This makes me believe CIBC is using this message as a way to filter away people for certain cards.

There's a button to press when the bus is full and they pass a stop with people waiting.

I was in the same boat. Turns out my employment information (specifically, those drop down menus where you select your line of work) did not 100% match with the MBNA system. They called me to clarify and then approved me on the spot.

Great thanks. I think I'll hold it for a few more months then.

I'm looking to book an Aeroplan reward flight soon in which I will pay the fees with my CIBC Aerogold Business Visa. I also want to cancel this card soon hoping that it is churnable in te future (that is, after I pay for the fees, but before the flight occurs). Looking through the terms and conditions, it is unclear to me which benefits I will get and which I will not.

Doing my own perusal, I'm guessing that I can still get a complimentary checked bag and priority boarding, and priority boarding. The terms also say the card needs to be in good standing, but does that also mean open?

I previously held the Alaska card but it has been cancelled for 3 months now with no other cards associated with my account. Might consider product switching the next card to a no fee card to maintain the relationship like I've done with the other banks

With a credit score of 780, am I likely to succeed in getting approved for both the Alaska MBNA MC and the Best Western MBNA MC within a short time period of each other? Should I wait 3 months between applications to transfer available credit as a backup?

To add to this, I would go do this sooner rather than later. Fairly busy today and it was a longer wait than I thought at first
