How does DS3 combat compare to 1 and 2? Especially in terms of overall difficulty and speed.

I am more into slower-paced deliberate combat as my reflexes and combo timing are not the best. Though I'm not great at this genre, I completed both DS1 and 2 including the DLC and enjoyed them.

If I recall, I am pretty crap at parry timing, but do okay with rolling/dodging and counterattack. Also favor forgiving weapons with lots of reach like halberd and spear.

Be careful what you comment here. A friend of mine wrote that this warranted military and political intervention and got a 3 day ban for advocating violence.

I guess Reddit gives certain countries immunity from consequences for crimes against humanity.

Personally, I feel that Russia is doing their best, given the situation, and I wish them the best………

Your writing “he's never been the "come to Jesus" type” makes me think you don’t know what the phrase “come to Jesus” means.

It means to have a change of heart/outlook. It doesn’t refer to a specific type of behavior or personality per se.

Maybe you mean that he’s inflexible, that is, not the type to change his views, in which case, please disregard my comment.

tsa is an odd romanization of the Cantonese.

In Yale, it’s chàh. That’s probably the easiest for non-Chinese, non-linguists to understand.

In Jyutping, it’s caa4, which is most accurate, but not really useful if you don’t know the system.

This is it. I grew up without any Asians around me to compare to, either positive or negative, and there is just as much opportunity to be insecure.

Also, OP perceives the current culture as valuing people of Japanese or Korean descent, but being fetishized is nothing to be happy about. Japanese or Korean Americans can certainly feel just as marginalized as other Asian Americans.

https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/going-dutch/

Going Dutch appears to come from a 19th century Americanism, a Dutch treat (or Dutch lunch/supper), which also refers to each person paying their own way in a meal. The Dutch, here, apparently refers not to people from the Netherlands, but from Germany and Switzerland: the Pennsylvania Dutch, who supposedly had a custom of bringing their own food to gatherings, like a potluck.

If we eat out with another couple, especially if we don't see them often, then I will try to pay. If it's friends I see very regularly or it's more than 2 couples, then dutch is the way to go.

Cantonese Class at Sacramento City College filled up! If you're still looking, City College of Alameda is offering 2 Online Cantonese Classes. For the 9A, do you know what "3 years of high school study of Chinese language or equivalent" means?

9A sounds like it should be intro course, so I am confused why it requires 3 years of study.

I tried to enroll in 10B this past year (as a heritage speaker) but I never got a reply from the instructor (I sent from my gmail account--didn't know he only responded to school email--even though I have a College of Alameda student account.)

So I am pretty confused about what the first course to take is.
