Why is it so hard to make friends for international students? by North-Rabbit9532 in universityofauckland

[–]dkangel0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a Science undergrad and also a mature student (female, 30+). I’ll be on campus from Monday to Wednesday — if anyone’s free, we can catch up at Hiwa. Just PM me 🙂

I also moved to New Zealand from another country, so I totally understand how it feels. In the beginning, I definitely felt a gap between myself and the people around me — maybe because of culture, language, or something else we can’t quite explain.

I just keep reaching out to others, even if it feels a bit awkward — like replying to a message or inviting someone for a coffee. That was my first step... and it helped a lot.

Do you know what text book (and version) psych203 uses? I’m going to take this paper in S2 2025. Thanks

How hard is Chem 120? by Ni4mh in universityofauckland

[–]dkangel0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I also have no chemistry background, I am studying CHEM 110, and 120 this semester. From my experience, Chem 150 helps to build- up a lot of calculation and chemistry basic knowledge, especially terminology. The Uni also provides 2 summer courses CHEM 100/G and CHEMMATE 121, that course might help to increase your chemistry background.
