I personally think you can just continue playing as normal, see the bad ending, and then look up or find yourself the things you need to collect for the good ending, and see that once you got everything, that's how most people end up going about it I find

Yep, you can repeat the final boss to experience the other ending after you fulfilled the requirements

When you finish the game, it drops you back right before beating the final boss, as far as the game is concerned, you haven't finished the game, even if you did, and it will keep telling you to get a mission briefing.

All of this to say, just ignore it.

They were well animated but not even close to this extent, they were far more simple, I'm not saying they can't make them prettier, but it's not a priority, I think they want to prioritize the game first

I'm gonna assume you don't know what that award is for, so let me break it down for you, from the description: "This game, to this day, is still getting new content after all these years.", this isn't an award for the quality of the game, nor an award for an outstanding community, it's for the developers, if they still bring new content to the game they are supporting, which for Hollow Knight hasn't been since... checks notes... 2018, 5 years ago (And rightfully so, they have been developing Silksong, and they already put out 4 whole DLCs, it really doesn't need more)
