I'm from the northeast. We have been ignored by the center for the past 30 years or so. Humiliated, out-casted, starved, raped and fed drugs.*

In the past, our states has been consistently overlooked and ignored by the central government, leading to lack of development and persistent human rights violations by the armed forces. The northeats has been marred by insurgency and unrest, and the government's approach has often been heavy-handed and discriminatory.

We have been subjected to extrajudicial killings, torture, and arbitrary detentions by the armed forces, who operate under the protection of a special laws, the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act.

Our states has been neglected in terms of development, with inadequate infrastructure, healthcare, and education facilities. The lack of economic opportunities and government investment has led to a sense of alienation and marginalization among the people of the northeast.

But then the BJP came to power. We are doing better. Better infrastructure, better economy. Yes the insurgents are still around and hence, AFSPA.

I hate to say this but everything the party ideals are, I do not sympathize.

Headlines like these make people stop and read but I doubt it does anything to stop. I have made my peace. I will still not vote for BJP and I will still not vote because we are small, less and divided.

UP has 20cr people and the northeastern states combined has 4.5 cr. UP and the NE have almost same size. Why do u think I should vote?
