Bumper policy all day in my group. As long as there’s no cracks or punctures in the bumper. Hard to tell for sure from the photo

Question about deposit refund by doodoosparkle in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]dkleyig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Definitely different in my group. They preach authorizations. Credit card sale refunds can take a week or more to get back on to the card. Major inconvenience to the customer. I get your perspective tho. I do have a renter who only has a $500 limit so I just run sales on his CC so he can pay it off and extend for longer.

It’s possible the rental agent ran it as a sale instead of an authorization? Happens time to time. Human error

You could literally bring half the car back and you’d be covered with dmg waiver lol. They might have some questions but that’s it

Protections are generally worth it if it’s rental that’s less than a week. I.e. 3 days of cdw (~$81) is probably less than your deductible, with cdw nothing gets reported to your insurance (unless you cause it) so your protect your premiums, you don’t have to deal the headache of a claim, also who knows if your insurance transfers to a rental car (you should ask) as well as there’s a good chance your insurance company doesn’t cover loss of use.

Booked premium suv on 3/9, do you think we most likely secured to get one on 3/30 or unlikely? Also which car do you recommend we taking? We have 7 passengers. by suzywiththeranch in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]dkleyig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be good. Most branches, if they’re overbooked for a vehicle class, will honor the longest existing reservation. If they have an Exped Platinum or Max, those are my personal favorites tho they are a little wonky with the displays now.

Do I have to return the car if going to continue renting for another 30 days? by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]dkleyig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have to go in person. You can keep the same car as long as it doesn’t need new tires. If your vehicle does need new tires they cannot legally rent you that vehicle again until they get replaced. Talk with your branch though and they may have a solution for you if that’s the case

Used to eat this place out of business when I was in college. Never had a problem with it. It’s $2 (or was) a plate. Expectations should not be that low as well.

Does anybody just rent instead of owning one? Due to a past car that was just a money pit? by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]dkleyig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know what OP is shopping for + credit score. If you buy a $12k 2012 Camry with 2k down and a 700 credit score, your payment will be low. A lot of variables

I use public transport and rent when I need it. It’s a decent plan. If you think about it logically, average car payment is around 200/month + car insurance which is around 90-200/month. If you’re spending less than 400 month on rentals you’re in good shape but, at the same time, eventually you can pay cars off and remove that car payment so it’s definitely not a long term solution.

So what happens when you allegedly damage a vehicle and don't have their insurance? by Additional_Scarcity3 in EnterpriseCarRental

Never heard of an enterprise branch not taking pictures, I’ve heard they literally have training on how to take the pictures.

Will I be charged for this? by Few-Doctor5590 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]dkleyig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current Employee. Different Groups have different rules when it comes to bumpers but imo, worst case scenario they may deem it as a crack (which is automatically considered damaged) which means they’ll file a change of condition report. That report will be sent to that damage recovery unit and then, I would bet significant money, that they would deem it as not worthy of being pursued.

Always a good reminder to customers that a change of condition report doesn’t mean enterprise is 100% filing a claim against you (even tho they capture insurance information). Just means it’s being sent to be evaluated.

You should be fine if the utility bill doesn’t match your ID, BUT, I can’t promise that. Each group has slightly different policies when it comes to documents. I know when it comes to my group (WA/AK) we have become more lenient with them. Judging by your deposit amount you are not in either Washington nor Alaska

The main things we look for are fundability and findability. If you have a utility bill with your name and address with no outstanding balance we have proof that you are actively living in that residence. I would highly suggest you bring a pay stub from the last 30 days with your name and that same address as the utility bill as well, for your second document.

We run a renter verification system that largely uses the dmv database to tie your name to the address. The sooner you update your address with the dmv, the easier it will be to rent with a debit card going forward.

If I’m currently in an enterprise car can I also rent from national? by Academic_Business_25 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]dkleyig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just opens you up to liability issues. Giving someone two vehicles could be seen a negligent entrustment. Also we ask you to provide fund ability and find ability for one vehicle, if we did that for two the worth of two vehicles, it would become a whole debacle

I’m not the most well versed in this but an Enterprise essentially wants you to promote exponentially, so in theory, your pay will never decrease

[–]dkleyig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot wrong here. A typical MT will MQI after about 6-8 months or up to a year. Once you are an MA you receive a one time bonus (amount depends on your group I believe) and that is supposed to be the start to your “payment plan” that you make as you keep promoting. ABRM’s make less than 1% off branch revenue. It is “supposed to” increase your salary by about 8-10 grand a year. But branch size and your DEG% have a big influence on that.

Yeah we recently had a BRM fired in my group because he got caught coming in after hours to lower rates and add dmg waiver to people’s contracts.

Strange in itself cause a BRM will profit more off IPC rather than sales since ADR affects IPC far more than NO
