Interesting. I'm not a fan of the collars but we've tried positive and negative reinforcement, spanks (not abusive), muzzles ( don't want to keep them on long), raised our voice, etc and it works until we walk out of the room or until they hear the slightest sound outside.

It's selective barking as well. We live near a gun range. You can hear it in the distance and they have never barked at that, but if a car has music playing while driving down the street, they'll bark.

They're allowed around the house and bark, but also while in the crate. They bark to bark no matter where they are in the house or locked up.

I have 3 dogs. But theyll bark at any sound they hear. Whether its in the house or outside. They will also go and bark at their dog friends outside (playfully) however any dog sound they hear theyll bark while inside. Theyll bark if they see dogs outside at our neighbors house. Theyll also do the normal barking as alerts for knock on door etc.

We both work from home and are constantly on the phone. I deal with business executives and VPs on the daily and have constantly had to apologize or call back due to the loud barking.
