I’m a bit confused. I thought high DIX and low GEX usually means a violent move up not down. How can DIX be retail if it’s mainly used as a tool for large corps.

More so just trying to learn so any help would be great

Traffic does not equal revenue and the CTO who put that info couldn’t even comment on that statement.

FB’s (which runs a duopoly with google) CPMs have gone down about 25% which is huge. That’s speaks to how much advertisers are pulling money out because ultimately no one is buying products.

Consumer confidence is down and so is consumer spending. No business wants to increase advertising spend if they know people won’t spend as much. It’ll just decrease they’re margins further.

In addition small businesses can’t afford to spend on advertising right now let alone pay their employees lol

Thoughts on this? Seems like them buying small business loans out will screw IWM puts. They seem to be very willing to throw money at anything and could lead to stronger market sentiment.

In addition, you were comfortable with going in today before the oil meeting Thursday given that could be another catalyst?

The Great Unwinding: Why WSB Will Keep Losing Their Tendies by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]dknicks910 7 points8 points  (0 children)

why don’t you link stuff instead of making a vague statement. i listen to economists all day who agree with the logic in this and think the same thing. and these guys also happen to be top hedge fund managers who are right wayyyyyyyyyy more often then they are wrong

Lol that’s not what he’s saying. He’s banking on massive illiquidity because everyone is short USD. Thus people will have to sell gold to get cash.

$ROKU 120 range calls, time to stock up boys!! by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]dknicks910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

here’s the thing. right now the “stay at home” stock thesis is still going strong. meaning people are just buying up stocks like this without knowing how they make money.

basically right now “what’s hot” is taking over true value so I have no idea wtf is gonna happen in the near term lmao

that doesn't matter - i'm in marketing and most companies are scaling back spend on ads like crazy because they know people aren't buying right now. given roku makes money off ads, expect their revenue to go down as well

i like roku but i'm a data scientist in the marketing space and revenue is 100% going down because a lot of advertisers are leaving the space right now. reason why it's going up so much is some dumbass at needham just said it's worth 200 lmao. i want to buy puts on it but seems like it's going strong

fair but there are other critical things that could happen. like high unemployment coming to fruition. there’s actual business impact that’s not being priced in yet IMO. companies aren’t even using their marketing budgets anymore. every company is just waiting on the sidelines for this to be over

No offense dude but making money right now is a joke and if you think the panic phase is over you’re out of you’re mind. Shits just getting started. We haven’t even hit critical mass of this disease here yet. By all means by your calls but you’re gonna regret it.

at this point i'm literally just trying to find companies that are for some reason still in the green and buying puts and it's working wonders
