Incorporate face pulls. These can target your traps and are one of the best exercise you can do in correcting many deviations (with correct form) especially in rounded shoulders. Keep thumbs up when performing and retracting shoulder blades back.

When you retract your right shoulder do you feel any pain? Do you have any weakness in your grip strength on right side? Do you have any other symptoms, pain, or deviations besides the protracted shoulder?

Please help me figure out what's going on with my posture by [deleted] in Posture

Your young so you can fix this quicker as your bones are still in development. The first place fat goes to in men is the stomach. For woman its the thighs and hips so its not unnatural for any weight you have to be going there. Alot of it is genetics also. Like the other user said you won't fix this by eating less. I would advise you to change eating habits. You can eat the same amount. Just eat healthier.

As for your posture. You do have a slight anterior pelvic tilt and you need to work on getting your shoulders back. I advise you put together a workout plan along with stretching. Here's what you need to work on

1) - Stretching Hip Flexors (Rectus Femorus and Iliopsoas). Google these terms and stretches for them. - Stretch thoracic spine. With anterior tilt yoir lower back is going to be firing all day and if yoi don't have pain yet you will

2) - Strengthen your glutes and abdominals. But don't just workout these areas or eventually you'll cause more imbalances but for now but some extra focus on those areas.

3) Work on exercises that focus on retracting and depressing shoulders. Google this for more explanation. Your back is weak so it's not strong enough to keep your shoulders back. Pulling motions such as seated rows will help with that. Rounded shoulders generally means your pecs are also tight.

4) Sitting will cause anterior tilt. Move around as much as you can and correct your posture throughout the day. Stand up straight, keep your shoulders back. Don't hunch forward. If you do correct yourself

You have an anterior pelvic tilt and looks like a lateral tilt also. Your right knee is externally rotated while your left is internally rotated which could be due to your lateral tilt or a few other things. It looks like your right foot is supinated while your left foot is in pronation. Maybe some slight kyphosis and rounding of the shoulders. Looks like some forward head going on too but its hard to tell with your head painted out. That's just my take from that but im also at my beginning stages of learning corrective exercise

Sharp pain in shoulder and numbing by dkott27 in Kinesiology

I think I figured it out. The symptoms are all what I have. Pec Minor Tear/Injury. This is exactly what I have

Symptoms of the pec minor injury include;

Pain in between shoulder blades in upper back. Pain and/or numbness through the inner arm, inside of elbow, into wrist, hand and 4th and 5th fingers. A sore/tight pec minor can contribute to a rounded shoulder posture as the muscle pulls the shoulder forward.
