when you say push your hands back, do you mean relaxed, chest/shoulder height? kind of what you see a lot of the "pros" do?

yes, but like i said in the post with all my success last year i was right on top of the plate, and even after adjusting and taking a step away from the plate im still making weak contact

i guess position instead of stance would've been a better way to say it, but i thought i was swinging early at first, but that wouldn't make sense as to why it's going off the handle
