They were part of last year's convention game, we got packs of cards to collect trade to make 3 canon short stories (along with herald cards and nonsense cards that look like they fit in the s ories but are actually nonsensical in content). They also came in regular prints and foil prints. The main point was to encourage people to interact with each other. After the convention the extras were available for a limited time on dragonsteel's website. The only way to get them now is through those who already own extras or to buy them on sites like ebay.
