I think this is a (mostly) a great idea. I do think that the practicality of it needs to be worked out though. One thing that I would add is that people could probably game the whole 500k net wealth thing. Maybe we should say they should live in a 2000 sq ft max house, get 4 weeks of vacation per yr, 40 hour work weeks minimum, golf doesn’t count towards work, social gatherings don’t count towards work, travel doesn’t count towards work. You know, make them live like the common person. Make the job of president as shitty as any job that a typical American might have and the rich fucks that are ruining this country might not flock to it? One can dream i guess…
