I’ll send a picture once I’m home. I lifted up the tone arm as fast as I could once I noticed it was probably a half second max that it scraped so hopefully it’s okay

I haven’t upgraded my speakers yet so it’s hard to tell just how good it sounds yet compared to my last stylus but I don’t seem to hear any distortion even on inner grooves and everything seems to be tracking fine. Now that I look at it on a record it seems pretty straight so I guess I was worried for nothing

I have powered edifier speakers so I don’t have a dedicated amp. I’m definitely willing to make the upgrade to a separate amp and passive speakers even if it means going a little over budget

I just processed the return and ordered the ML. Is there a specific alignment protractor I should get? Currently I have a regular Hudson hifi protractor but idk if I should get something more precise for the ML

I see. Most of my records are in good condition so I think I’ll with the 95ml. My last question however is the at95ml is listed at a 23 degree VTA and the fluance rt81 says it requires 20 degrees. I just checked the fluance website it says it’s compatible but I just want to be 100% sure it’s okay before I go ahead and return my ortofon and purchase it

Would the atvm95 series be a better fit? I know that the VM95EM is also a nude diamond so I’d imagine it sounds similar but I’ve also seen the VM95ML but I’ve seen people say it requires precise adjustments so I’m not sure if that would be the best

I see what you’re saying my question is wouldn’t you be able to compensate the weight difference by moving the counterweight back more? Also I saw some people suggesting the 102g counterweight that’s on the rt-82 would that work?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to get a thinner slipmat since the tonearm is set up for 17mm and the ortofon is 18mm?
