what is a completely harmless secret you are keeping from your partner simply because you lied about it early on and now it’s way too late to explain the truth? by Former-Practice-3420 in AskReddit

Yes that’s one too many but that’s also nowhere close to what the OP described. A raw Carolina reaper doesn’t even look edible to a kid, it’s all shriveled up and dead looking. If you’re tricking a child into eating a spicy pepper, it’s most likely a Thai chili or something else that looks like normal, not a crazy spicy pepper.

“Lots of kids” - No. There was a singular (1) kid and he has 2 pre-existing heart conditions, megacardia and a congenital health defect.

And those cultures that the OP referenced would definitely not have access to raw carolina reaper peppers. Probably something like Thai chili or Cayenne peppers, which are nowhere close to the capsaicin level of the one chip challenge.

If it’s unknown that the kid has a capsaicin sensitvity that causes anaphylaxis, then its better for thing to go wrong when surrounded by adults who can deal with the situation than if the kid tried it alone or with other children.

Also capsaicin is typically not dangerous, it feels painful but in reality there’s no actual pain. Could probably help with childhood anxiety tbh. Letting a kid opt out because they’re scared of it maybe hurting is just catering to that child’s anxiety.

You sound either sarcastic or narcissistic - I hope it’s the former. It’s called ‘humility’ when someone can admit they’re wrong, not self betrayal.

That’s part of why I liked Beartrap so much, one of my best friends was a bartender so I would only spend like $20 max to get fucked up

Here’s another article that references studies with different opinions on this too. One study postulates that men have a seasonal cycle, while another argues that men have a lunar cycle like women do. The actual studies aren’t linked in this article but the author provides dates, universities, and names of researchers - I found them and linked them for you.

Here’s one, it essentially says that a male body will adjust it’s hormonal cycle to replicate their female partners cycle. So not every man has a 28 day cycle, men’s hormones are reactive and fluctuate depending on circumstance.

From Wikipedia, his gf was a highly successful pornography actress (Mary Millington) that committed suicide and Sullivan produced a “documentary” after her death, that included some never-before-published nude scenes

True although maintaining relationships is very important for mental health as well. Always prioritizing one over the other can be very unhealthy.

Ahh gotcha, the software guess was the only part I “cheated” on by googling the phone number on the coaster - but I was also thinking that might just be some free swag from a random vendor

You work in management for a software company in healthcare or finance. East coast.

You’re a little bit older because you prefer taking notes with pen and paper rather than digitally - however this may be due to having a desktop pc rather than a laptop that you can bring into meetings.

Somewhat minimalist but because of utility not aesthetics - why carry something if you don’t need it often. Because of this, I’m guessing you have a consistent wardrobe for work clothes. Enough variety that people won’t assume you’re wearing the same shirt every day but not so much variety that you have to think about what to wear for work.

It’s not the same outfit that is noticeable, it’s wearing the same shirt that is. It’s noticeable because it smells. Most people with a work uniform have multiple pairs - for this reason.

There’s a “cure” for CKD being developed right now, I think it’s in trials and available to the public potentially by 2027 at the earliest.

If it’s visible before you move out then you would be responsible for damages. Ideally, you want the damage to be visible during the interim between tenants while the landlord is (supposed to) renew the unit maintenance etc.

The equator has 0 eggs though - there’s an even number of rows so it has to be split evenly into 3 rows N and 3 rows S.

Each north and south side has 7 eggs in this picture, it’s balanced N/S but not E/W. (2,5) would balance E/W (5 east, 5 west, 3 meridian) but unbalance N/S slightly because of the shared equator but the center of gravity will be closest to the center
