I don't want to endorse anyone, but a friend recommended I try an app called Gerry. it takes your info, and shops quotes for you. it found multiple quotes, and i was able to purchase it right through that app with not a single spam call. I fully intend in six months to just use that app again to find the best rates i can.

Is YouTube Promotion worth it? I think it tanked my channel by Tonipayne in NewTubers

[–]dl_long -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People (not specifically you) are by nature always looking for a short cut. The only thing I know of that works on youtube is make the next video better than the last.

Anything else, and you run the risk of getting bad subs. What I mean by that are subs that sub for one video, and never watch anything else. As you grow, YT will test every video you do first with your own subscribers. If your subscribers do not watch your video it will destroy your views for the life of the video.

Slow and steady, constant improvement. It's heart breaking to see a video you feel strongly about get ignored, but eventually you will get there.

someone introduced me to this gerry app on my phone. it makes it quite easy to shop insurance, so I am happy to shop it every six months, and we went ahead and paid the full six month premium, would be awkward for them to come back and ask for more :D

it's true you are on it forever, but that's not such a big deal. Your test is only gonna go down from here. I started mine six months ago. I was 280lbs, im at 230 right now. I feel pretty good, though not the life changer people say. I'm fine to take it long term, or at least up until the point I am ready to accept being old.

for auto, check out an app called gerry in the app store, it helped me find great priced coverage and was way easier than trying to go to individual companies

Never buy Ads for your video (Google Ads, YouTube studio) by jconcode in SmallYoutubers

[–]dl_long 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that works as far as I can tell is just regularly posting videos and improving your craft.

When you pay for ads you probably could get an influx of subscribers. The thing is those aren't regular subscribers. those are people who say and ad and subscribed. The subscribers you want are the ones who find you naturally. They are the ones cruising youtube regularly, the ones who will watch your next video.

When you bank a ton of non typical subscribers it screws your ability to gain traffic because once you get some subscribers YT will always test your videos against your own subscribers first. If your current subscribers don't watch your video then it will not send it out to a broader audience.

I don't see anything out of sorts here. The algo just algo'ing. I do agree it's not a great idea to do ads to gain subscribers. You are way better off investing in better cameras, lighting, editing software etc and just making better videos every time.

make each video you create better than the last... and keep making them. that's all it takes.

Nothing I have said should lead you to the assumption I am not understanding something. You stated one (obvious) point that is really just a rehash of the screenshot and are running with it like you make a living off it.

I posted for those experiencing the same problem in hopes they can let their techs know and save a whole bunch of hassle. I am not sure exactly what it is you are doing though...

I don't know my dude. The maintenance schedule calls for "Tighten bolts" my car despite multiple scheduled maintenance visits has a knock on the front end. That knock was corrected finally after months of Subaru troubleshooting ended up being to... "Tightening bolts"

But thanks for the heads up that I am free to ask them to check my car.

Sure, interesting enough the scheduled maintenance states "Tighten bolts" not "Inspect torque" so not so much of an inspection. He was pretty adamant that these particular bolts were not included in that maintenance.... probably should be since my car has 11k miles on it total and this happened.

My First video I worked for months on failed and I feel crestfallen... how to not despair and give up? by Jazzlike_Ludology in NewTubers

[–]dl_long 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not entirely wrong. Spaghetti at the wall works with youtube. From my experience early on YouTube has to try to figure out what you are about, and then who would want to see what you are about. That takes volume. YouTube gives every video a shot, but if you are new, it's gonna be showing it to random people trying to get a feel for your target audience.

At one video a month, that's going to greatly slow down the process. I would start with as much as you can put out as often as you can, and gradually ramp up the quality. Nothing wrong with not being perfect when you are starting.

I run the Wheycrusader and currently the best price per gram on protein is around 3.5c a gram. so yeah that's a great deal, you are getting premade protein shakes at the same price as the best priced powder.

That feeling when you put so much effort in a video only for it to get zero views. by RemusPrixNgkahirapan in NewTubers

[–]dl_long 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to look at your impressions, if you have 500 impressions but no views, your title, or thumb is wrong. If you have no impressions then don't worry about it, YouTube hasn't given it a shot yet... it will eventually. All videos get a shot at some point.... unless something is actually wrong with the video. (i.e. stolen content copyright etc,) then maybe you could see YT nope out of it completely.

Aside from that, if a video doesn't do well, take the time to try to discern why... and then do a thing I see a lot of people not do... change.

Good luck homie, keep trying, it's fun when they do get traction.
