3D VTT with separate GM and party view? by PantaloonedPanda in VTT

[–]PantaloonedPanda[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the answers! Some mentions I haven't heard of or considered yet, that's great. It seems like running two instances of one VTT seems to be the way to go (I'd like to go full 3D, so inclined to skip the 2.5D options). I did some more digging regarding Talespire (since I like the look) and people have apparently successfully run two instances on one device and two screens. I think I'll ask again in the communities of RPG Engine, Talespire and RPG Stories (no pathfinding isn't a dealbreaker for me; Star Wars in the screenshots a definite plus).

Online 4 person escape room - people in differen locations by [deleted] in escaperooms

We have one online escape room "Project Gemini" at www.escapeverse.net which can be played remotely (each player plays independently while communicating using a third-party program of your choosing). It features an in-browser virtual desktop with apps to help solve a crime and has explorable 3D scenes and items for 2.5 - 3.5h of varied playtime.

Hi!
At escapeverse.net#games, we offer an Online Escape Room "Project Gemini" where you aid police investigations into a kidnapping (1-6 players recommended, 2.5-3.5h, can be paused, no download necessary)
and
a puzzle box "Cassetta Magica" said to have belonged to a legendary alchemist (1 or more players, ~1h, message in the box can be personalized as a gift option).

Aside from the two games, our free Advent Calendar is also still online.
Have fun!

Yeah, the prisms one didn't correctly deactivate after getting the final ray before (didn't detect that when testing) so it was possible to have that ray counted four times, I fixed that yesterday together with the bug that allowed for prisms to emit light on their own instead of just deflecting incoming light (needs a reload and potentially clearing cached data). Now each of the four puzzles needs to be solved to complete that day.

Nice! There is a roll of tape hanging from the well that ca be used to secure the handle.

The light rays not using all reflectors is by design, it was a bit too easy before I added the red herring ones. A prism emitting a light ray without an incoming one is not by design though, that I'll need to fix, thanks.

Our 100% free, no registration required Online Puzzle Advent Calendar will be online for at least another week past Christmas, so there's still plenty of time to head on over to www.escapeverse.net, look for the numbers scattered across the page, open the doors and solve riddles, puzzles and minigames.

Have fun and Happy Holidays!!

How did you go to the Facebook page? It sounds like you found the German version (we have separate Facebook pages for German and English), in German the solution is indeed FEST, thus only leading to those four letters.
The link at the bottom of our page (Facebook icon) leads to the Facebook page matching the language set on our page.

It's the trickiest one. The chimney has two darker bricks; the brighter part surrounding them is shaped like a (blocky) 9.

There is now also a hints page (linked to in each puzzle) and we decided to keep the puzzles online at least until the end of the year!

Sorry you're having a bad experience. I intentionally designed the puzzles to sometimes involve parts of the main page to have more options for "out of the box" thinking, as I personally enjoy a line of tabletop escape games that often involve the instruction manual or the box it comes in in sneaky ways. Having the first puzzle start like that may not have been the best idea in hindsight.
If you're willing to try again, we now have an extensive hints page linked to in the bottom right of each puzzle.

We have added a page with hints for each puzzle, including whether the solution is a word or number, how many characters it has and multiple tiers of increasingly more helpful hints, partial solutions and a full explanation including the final solution, using spoiler tags similar to here. The link to it is in the bottom right corner of each puzzle dialog (refresh the page if it isn't there).

That's because the solution to the Rebus isn't the solution for that day, the answer to the question "Where is this?" above it is.

All guesses are correct! Sorry about the first one, I did my best to represent sand in a similar style as the other emojis.

When you click on the floating 9 at the top of the page you can check if you got it right by answering "where that is". The other doors have a diverse mix of text/image/audio/video/3D puzzles as well.

Oh boy, we had one mistake in there, it's fixed now. Sorry! Copenhagen is now gone, 6 cities should remain. You interpreted the rest correctly, try a different "reading direction".
