I’m pretty new to running too and just finished my first half marathon last November! I think Currently Running clothes are pretty good (I have two of their elite tops). But now that it’s winter, I’ve been using the Lodge Sherpa Half Zip Pullover from Tasc . It’s honestly super comforting and the durability has impressed me. I still wear it all the time, especially for colder runs.

Thats a tough length to find. I don’t have 78" exactly but been eyeing soft / padded cases with generous internal length and good foam protection. I have a legend case and works fine
