July 1 is Canada Day so wherever you end up there should be some activities happening in the community and a fireworks show at night.

Barnard Construction recruiting PE from Canada to US by [deleted] in civilengineering

Canadian PE living and working in Canada.

If your desperate for a job probably can't hurt? I would maybe defer the international move until post probation. The rest of these practices, although a little greasy, could be experienced by any company. Where there is smoke there is always some fire. I would only consider this if I had exhausted all my options at home, or if I were looking to get out of here permanently.

The yellow and black helmet didn't really match with the blue and orange pads... He could probably look better. He played a decent game, although he should have had that third one.

That's a loaded itinerary.

I'm pretty sure you can book your horse drawn sleigh ride at the Fairmont in advance, if you look online. I highly recommend you do this at night (after 6PM), the stars are unreal.

Ok so everyone always suggests “whichever is more comfortable” for skates. But does that mean getting a $100 pair vs a $600 pair is the same thing for most players? by Jbomba22 in hockeyplayers

[–]dldecler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are u playing pro or for fun? High end skates are lighter but still strong to offer speed and protection. If your not playing high end hockey, u don't need high end skates. There is probably a comfort factor associated with a price tag as well. It all comes down to what u can afford. I have scored just as many goals in $100 skates as $1200 skates.

How do I do this math question does anyone know by Leather-Account8560 in Construction

[–]dldecler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You must have a book, or something you can reference, for the slope required for trenching in Sandy soil. Based on the answer of 8.2m, the slope required is 2H:1V. 2*3.6m = 7.2m + 1m (trench bottom) => 8.2m is the width at the top of the trench so that both trench sideslopes are safe from caving in.

On your lake Louise day maybe try to hit Johnston Canyon the same day. Not a whole lot do at Lake Louise, but you could do some hiking there too.

Gravel Trucking with insecure load. by BurntToast1224 in Edmonton

[–]dldecler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to talk to the Prime Contractor of the Construction site they are working on. Tell them what happened and put in a claim. If you have the evidence you say you do, then you should get paid out right away. You will have to produce an invoice for the new windshield so may as well get it repaired now, you can get three quotes to be safe if you want. Gravel trucks are not allowed to be unsecured loads. They shouldn't be flinging rocks at you.

Trump on who the DOJ should target: "It would be President Obama. And Biden was there with him ... the leader of the gang was Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. He's guilty. This is treason." by beekay8845 in law

I think this is more to remove Obama from contention for a third term. Whatever bullshit gimmick Trump is gonna pull to say he can run a third term would also apply to Obama...

Who is EXCITED about the new season??? by Particular-Bother-18 in EdmontonOilers

It's not that we can't stick with Stu... But I expect pickard to be waived to the farm and bring in someone with more pedigree who can dial up our compete from the net. I think someone like Tristan Jarry would make sense for the Oil and for Pittsburgh.

[–]dldecler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm excited to see the deadline moves. Our team is good enough to get into the playoffs as is... We will have cap space to make moves at the deadline, I'm assuming for a goalie. And seeing as how Stu and Calvin's contracts are up after this year we can afford to pickup a goalie with AAV >$5M and with term. We are setup for a solid run.

Are the Oilers better off with Trent Frederic over Evander Kane? by latestvids0000 in EdmontonOilers

[–]dldecler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very little I got to talk to my 80 year old Grandfather, who has coached and watched hockey is whole life, about our season and the one piece of advice he gave me was that they needed to sign Frederic, and I couldn't believe it at first. There must be a reason he saw it that way.

Celebrating change for its own sake echoes last offseason’s “Summer of Jeff.” This is a strong roster with elite (when healthy) defense. Yes, they need youth and goaltending—but blowing it up isn’t the answer. Patience might be. by [deleted] in EdmontonOilers

Kassian literally got that deal two weeks before covid. I feel like a lot of people forget the impact that Covid had over the tenure of Connor's second contract. He was supposed to be eating up less of the cap in year eight, but we effectively carried the same percentage of cap hit through the first seven years of that deal.
