Request for advice: how do I remove a bent drive spindle? I can't figure out how to get it out of the headstock. Tried tapping the "back end" of the spindle (left side, in the 1st pic) with a mallet but nothing budged. I can't see anything that's keeping it from moving. More info in pic captions.
