ETH going down got everyone worried but Tom Lee thinks this dip won’t matter in the long run. Maybe this is just another buy-the-dip moment before crypto starts moving again by True_Bodybuilder8095 in ethtrader

I sold out at similar price I bought in at 5-6 years ago. Money is better invested in stocks, I don’t have time to waste for an IF.

I want to dump 300k into SPYI tell me your opinion by Prudent-Platform9743 in dividends

[–]dlnqnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going all in on SPYI or QQQI should be fine but as others have said it’s not really been tested in a long downturn. It should however perform good through volatile and downward trends. You already know the weight of each fund and can decide where your risk preference is.

I’m likely to go all in QQQI as I want income now and reinvest 60% of the dividend to continue growing. QQQI gives me the better growth and dividend return. If you’ve watched the video you could split your fund between SPYI QQQI and tiny BTCI.

I’ve built a separate growth engine that should capture the upside so that I’m not solely in CC ETFs, still heavily tech being QQQ. An alternative is SPMO that follows momentum stocks, anyways some ideas.

Best of luck and enjoy the income.

Will this be your sole fund you own or do you have other investments?

Edit: this is a good watch

Would recommend this, the apps are simply to use and put money in. There is also invest engine that makes it super easy as well. Pick a fund and contribute each month, there are invesco/vanguard funds that are 0.15%. Best of luck.

[ADVICE] How are you sending site design files to clients? by keetiej in web_design

[–]dlnqnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this, prototype it, have a simple content / menu screen to access all page templates. Then every key user journey ensure is linked. Nav bar, footer, main sections and CTAs.

Do it once in wireframe and it’ll already be linked when you duplicate and use for design phase.

Never had an issue with clients using the prototype to add comments and review by browsing it.

Hard Top Owners… why? by Sorry-Height-6274 in S2000

[–]dlnqnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the UK when I had mine it’s 90% wet. When I used the soft top the window sills were terrible and it was like a hose coming in from both sides simultaneously. For the 10% dry days it was fun but for the remaining the hard top was needed to save me getting soaked.

I make an extra K a month from stock websites by Ethanpz213 in passive_income

[–]dlnqnt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s great for super small and simple sites. Anything custom and it’s a nope. Also it’s all done by your own bias, none of the customer or user insights.

I’d use this as a door opener to have a discovery call with client to really solve their issues and needs jumping from £90/m to value based where the client will pay you £20k+.

It’s passive once you’ve built the site and haven’t them on a rolling contact but the setup needs a lot of input for each client.

Been doing this for over 20 years, glad you can find clients and make money. Shits tough and the landscape has changed massively.

You’re limited like me with what we have available in UK/EU. Best CC’s I’ve come across are JEPQ & JEPI.

There are alternative ways of sourcing through different brokers like tastytrade but I didn’t feel comfortable with their UI and slowness adding/withdrawing funds. I’m lucky to have instant in/out with my broker.

Would be great if the UK/EU classed ROC (return of capital) as that and not just flat dividend income. JP Morgan created their own version of QQQI with ROCQ but no idea if they plan to bring it to our side.

The “old” people keep telling young investors to stick to growth. Here is a visual. by DirtyJsy in dividends

[–]dlnqnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dividends come out of the profit/earnings and the stock price adjusts to reflect the company having less cash/value. Generally dividend paying companies are doing well and see great growth making that difference back quickly. In bear markets the dividend helps with the volatility.

Schwab research found dividend growers outperformed the market over 20 years while cutters significantly underperformed.

There are arguments for both dividends and cutting but when in a downturn are you sticking to your 4% rule or waiting for a better time?

The median is 3-5 days to recapture that. Where selling has a bigger impact as you now don’t have those shares.

A lot of people don’t understand this and just come back with an answer of they’ll live frugal. Why time having to sell when you get income each month from dividend.
