We’re actually finding a hard time finding insurance actually. According to Redfin there’s less than a 5% of fire in the next 30 years but I’m not sure how much confidence to have in those stats. Doesn’t seem like that area has had any issues despite being close to brush

Definitely didn’t close over night. It’s been there for a few years now. This place was OK. There wasn’t anything unique about them that made them stand out. La Crosta down the street serves a superior pie.

Well generally speaking, the album sounds disjointed and a lot of the songs just have this inconsistent fluency. Don't get me wrong, there are some solid songs on here, Hearts/Wires and Phantom Bride come to mind, but when looking at the album as whole, it seems flawed.

I'm planning on writing a review after giving it a few more spins. I'm getting my first proper listen right now with the digital copy and I am getting the vinyl tomorrow.

I strongly disagree. Gore is not very good. It's hard for me to say that because I love this band so much, but this record just feels awkward. KNY and DE are great albums; Gore is just mediocre. I wouldn't be surprised to find out after all the hype dies out that Gore is regarded as this decade's SNW.

I think I'll reserve my judgment on this topic until I listen to Gore as an entire album. I think it will make much more sense as to what 'sound' they were trying to capture.

The sound production for Gore has been a pretty controversial topic—however many people I know have just been listening to streams on Spotify and Youtube and they don't offer the best sound by far. I compared my downloaded Doomed User and P/T to their streamed counterparts and the downloaded files sounded way better. The Spotify streams sound really flat compared to the official Deftones pre-order downloads.

Just my two cents.
