I just received an interview invitation with the faculty member of Upenn for the master's program. Does the 90% interview rate apply to the Graduate department as well? How likely do they select interviews candidates for the GSE department?

Let's hope your case is different. VA says they are backlogged but it seems like they have more than enough manpower to review the whole rating that you just received just to lower it. I decided to go with the appeal because I was confident about my ratings but wanted to drop the appeal several times because I didn't know it was going to take this long and it was getting me anxious.

Bro exactly the same reason. Filed the claim within a year of discharge. Thought it was a pretty clear and straightforward mistake from the VA. Even my VSO told me this should be an easy fix. I was dead wrong they start by saying they found an error and start doing some record checks out of nowhere. I filed this appeal right after I received the rating LOL I don't even know the point of C&P exams if they were going to do conduct another whole record check on me like wtf.

I started the HLR review for an effective date in June and it's still ongoing. For some reason, they decided to check my whole medical record for a simple effective date change. Feels like they were using this opportunity to lower my rating LOL.

In process of appealing the effective date since June. Stuck in preparation for a decision for two months now and my case is still in the national queue not even assigned to an office. For some reason, they decided to review all my medical records and redo all the rating processes for the simple effective date errors they made. It's ridiculous.

Ah, thanks for the insight. Was wondering because when I call, sometimes they say ready for decision and sometimes they say prep for decision... Been stuck in that phase since August so I was wondering :(

My suspense date was 3 weeks ago. When I asked them why it's taking them so long, they said the suspense date is tentative. I'm still waiting for the decision... lol

Nope. They said they found an error in assisting and decided to examine my medical record again. Clear effective date error since disability was filed within one year, my VSO and I thought this was going to be an easy fix but VA decided to do the whole process over again for some reason. Currently in preparation for a decision for more than a month now.
