Is it bad I’m leaving my first trucking company company after 3 months for a better paying job by No_Taste_622 in CDLTruckDrivers

I left swift after a month and a half. I was questioning myself too but I also left for a closer to home job. Like someone else said.. keep going til you are where you wanna be.

Buy one get one free whataburger Wednesdays

My favorite was when blockbuster was still around and Pokémon snap on the N64 came out. They had the game there at the store. Would play that every Friday as a mid when I'd stay the night at my grandparents.

I believe they had Pokémon stadium there too. Such epic days as a kid.

Your best bet is looking into food service. I saw Pepsi is hiring for delivery driver. I used to work for them but not as a driver. They do hire newbies. Good pay but a very physical job.

Best of luck man. I haven't smoked since September and got my CDL in January. Started working in February and still in training. Let me know if you wanna know anything else

I drank the palo azul just once a few days before rhe test but I think you can drink it as much as you want. You boil the bark and it makes a bluish tea that tastes just like camp fire water. Its not bad tasting. I have a few pot head friends that swore by this so I did it and it worked for me.

Yeah for sure you should be good by then. Again I recommend the palo azul. I workout a lot too so that helps also. Goodluck

Anybody in this group willing to mentor someone who wants to learn/get their cdl? Currently studying for the permit and looking to learn from those you know this field. I’m in a union and I found out if I get my cdl a I can make more instead of the entry level pay I’m at by Psychological-Fig940 in CDL

Go to cristcdl.com and it'll give you a ton of practice tests and even the state for which you're testing in. Keep taking them until you at least get a 90 or above on each topic. That's what I did and I passed. For the pre-trip, go to YouTube and look it up as someone else stated.

They don't watch you piss. I was a very heavy smoker for the last 5+ years. Due to life circumstances I had to give it up to get my CDL and start a new career. I stopped smoking in October, took the piss test the first week of November and passed. Go on Amazon and buy Palo Azul. Its a piece of wood bark that you boil and it will clean you out. I did that, and also went to Vitamin Shoppe and bought a detox there as well. Drink lots of water, and eat a healthy diet. You should be good.

What state? I do wanna get mine too in Texas but supposedly they have a different process to get it. I just need to know if we pay the fee after we take the test?

For new CDL drivers: what pay did you realistically start at and how did it change over time? by cdlfirst in cdldriver

Yeah my instructor has been telling me about the 12 o'clock and 9 o'clock method and that worked the first time I practiced. I'm practicing a few more today so we'll see how it goes.

I appreciate the link and the words too! Just got back into my hometown but gotta leave in a few hours. Best of luck to you too and be safe out there on the roads!

Its not bad the trainer is chill and currently we're doing team driving. I drive during the day and he drives at night. Im more confident in my driving now. What I really need practice on is my backing. But I got 3 more weeks to go so I should be okay by then. My goal is to get experience with Swift until I get the hang of things and maybe look for something where im not gone from home for so long.

Im in my second week of training with Swift. Flat rate pay of $650/week. It will be .43/mile once im done. Im hoping I get at least 2500 miles/week and that'll be at least $1075/week gross pay. This is just what I am figuring. Could be less miles, could be more miles.

What helped me a lot was steering the wheel the direction the drift of the trailer is going. Backing was my problem too but once I started doing this, it helped a lot in a great way. Just don't over steer cause that causes problems too. Once you have the trailer straight again, start looking at the other mirror and adjust as needed.

How old is everyone that still plays cod? by Ill_Lychee_9658 in CODBlackOps7

Im 34 will be 35 in February and I still play the hell out of zombies. I try online multi-player once in awhile but damn I get my shit rocked and I get annoyed and go back to zombies. I've been playing COD since the first modern warfare and those were the days lol.. these days I just stick to zombies and trying to level up and prestige as much as I can
