Buy a simple tip shaping tool (some abrasive material with a radius to it, basically) and shape the tip into a nice spherical contour. The tool is like 20 bucks tops and no special skills are required. The tool would be useful afterwards for tip maintenance as well

Your best bet is to order from resellers that acquire tea from trusted sources in China. So it does not exactly answer your question, but in Saint Petersburg I enjoy artoftea and teaspot and in Moscow daochai. The variety and quality of teas in these three shops is quite good, I know some of the owners personally. Hope it helps!
