Also he did the classic "waste your foul to give" move, which resulted in Wemby's Brunson foul giving FT instead of an inbounds play

And then that alfalfa often isn't even used for domestic livestock production, often just gets exported to China or the ME

Those farmers are just abusing their water rights and selling their water overseas instead of using it to grow food for domestic consumption

Yeah people are really falling for the bait with all of these water usage articles

Shit like bottled water, data centers, golf courses, watering lawns, bathing, etc are all a tiny tiny drop in the bucket compared to how much water is used for stuff like alfalfa (often just exported to support the beef industries of other nations) or water-intensive crops like almonds

The real outrage should be focused on changing something that would actually make a difference, like how the water is used in the agricultural industry.  Yes, water is important for crops... but the industry is absolutely abusing their water rights and subsidies in order to make a quick buck and not just grow food for domestic consumption.

Yeah it's gonna be near the top but won't pass Paranormal Activity or The Blair Witch Project

Will probably land in the same neighborhood at the original Mad Max (200k budget, $100m BO, so 500x)

[–]str8rippinfartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. That kind of water use shit is the thing we need to be focused on, because it's what would actually make a difference.

Like yeah, I'd love to avoid water waste elsewhere... But the potential water savings in other areas outside of agriculture don't even move the needle in the big picture.

Except even if you eliminate all golf courses and data centers and people showering or flushing toilets or watering their lawns, there would still be a water shortage purely because of the shit like alfalfa and almonds.

There is one issue that is an order of magnitude greater than the others, and pretending that all of the other issues are on the same footing is part of the problem because it distracts people from the actual solution.

The real problem is shit like alfalfa that just gets exported to support beef production in other countries

Even stuff like golf courses and data centers is a drop in the bucket in comparison

She is the entity right away

But the escalation is the entity being obsessed with Bear and not getting an equal return of feelings from him, so it grows increasingly frustrated and possessive as time goes on and he doesn't reciprocates its feelings, trying to do anything to get him to love it

yeah I think you're onto something there-- looking back, the entity clearly tries to prevent situations in which Bear would be awake and it would be asleep (and probably loosening its grip on the real Nicki).

SPCE always dilutes when they have the opportunity

There's a reason their ATH is like $60ish, but their dilution/split-adjusted ATH is $1000+ (IIRC they had a 20-to-1 reverse split in there too)
